Liberal reporter Ceci Connolly admitted to Greta Van Susteren tonight that the Senator Dodd received a $100 million sweetheart deal from the White House in the Obamacare bill to help him with his re-election.
It’s nice to know that our taxpayer dollars are helping to support this corruptocrat’s reelection, huh?
Dump Dodd.

Democrat Senator Chris Dodd of Connecticut is up for reelection in 2010, so he can be booted out if Conservatives in Connecticut rise up and elect the best Conservative Republcan in place of him next year.

2010 Congressional Elections Update:
U.S. HOUSE: Dems=258, Repubs=177, Republicans need to beat 41 democrats, and lose no Republican seats (41 seat gain), to take the House in 2010, and to have the majority of votes needed to elect Republican John Boehner, as the new Republican Speaker of the House, and boot Nancy Pelosi out as the Speaker.
(takes 218 out of 435 seats to make a majority
in the House)
In the 1994 Republican Revolution, House
Republicans picked up 54 seats.
All of the House is up for reelection in 2010,
so all Democrats can be voted out in 2010.
———————————————————
U.S. SENATE: Dems=58, Repubs=40, Independent=2
(Bernie Sanders and Joe Lieberman)
Roughly 1/3 of the Senate is up for reelection every 2 years.
37 Senators are up for reelection in 2010, and
of those 37, 19 are Democrats, and 18 are
Republicans. Republicans need to lose no Senate
Seats in 2010, and beat 20 Dems (gain 20 Senate seats)
to have the 60 cloture-vote margin (filibuster-proof) to pass
legislation, and to boot out Mitch McConnell as the worthless Republican Leader,
and vote in Conservative Republican Jim DeMint, as the new Republican Leader of the Senate. There are only 19 Democrats
up for reelection in 2010 to beat, so the
other 1 added Senate seat will have to be
done in 2012, if Joe Lieberman, the
Independent moderate, does not caucus (vote)
with them on enough legislation.
If the Republicans pick up all 19 Democrats Senate seats, and lose no Republican Senate Seats in 2010, they will have the Independent Senator Joe Lieberman, who caucuses (votes) with them some of the time, to give them the 60 Senate votes the Republicans need to pass some legislation in 2010.
In the 1994 Republican Revolution, Senate
Republicans picked up 8 seats.
———————————————————
Even with a Republican sweep in 2010, it will most likely take the 2012 Congressional elections, along with a conservative Republican President, to give Congress the ability to pass legislation, that begins fixing the damage that has been done to America. (Repeal Obamacare, Cap and Trade, etc) This is due to the fact that it takes a 2/3 majority vote in each Chamber, to override President Obama’s veto power. This would be 290 votes in the House, which is unlikely, and 60 votes in the Senate. A Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, or Tim Pawlenty as President in 2012 would be a continuation of restoring sanity to America.

List of the 19 Senate Democrats up for
reelection or retiring in 2010:
-Ted Kaufman (D) of Delaware (Repubs Mike
Castle and Christine O’Donnell challenging)
-Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas (Repubs Gilbert
Baker and Curtis Coleman challenging)
-Barbara Boxer of California (Repubs Chuck
DeVore and Carly Fiorina-rino? challenging)
-Michael Bennet of Colorado (Repubs Jane
Norton, Ken Buck, and Cleve Tidwell challenging)
-Christopher Dodd of Connecticut (Repubs Rob
Simmons, Peter Schiff, and Linda McMahon are
challenging)
-Daniel Inouye of Hawaii (Repub Gov. Linda
Lingle possible challenger)
-Roland Burris of Illinois (Repubs Mark Kirk
and Patrick Hughes challenging)
-Evan Bayh of Indiana (Repub challengers
include Marlin Stutzman)
-Barbara Mikulski of Maryland (Repub
challengers, Daniel McAndrew, Jim Rutledge,
Eric Wargotz, and Corrogan Vaughn)
-Paul G. Kirk Of Massachusetts (Special
election held in Jan 2010, Republican
challenger Scott P. Brown)
-Harry Reid of Nevada (Repub challengers
include Dan Tarkanian and Sue Lowden)
-Kirsten Gillibrand of New York (Possible Repub
challengers Rudy Gulianni and Liz Feld)
-Chuck Schumer of New York (*NO REPUBLICAN
CHALLENGER YET)
-Byron Dorgan of North Dakota (possible Repub
challengers Paul Sorum, John Heoven, and Duane Sand)
-Ron Wyden of Oregon (*NO REPUBLICAN
CHALLENGER YET)
-Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania (Repub
challenger Pat Toomey)
-Patrick Leahy of Vermont (Repub challenger
Len Britton)
-Patty Murray of Washington (Repub challenger
George Nethercutt)
-Russ Feingold of Wisconsin (Repub challenger

There are also many other good conservative
and republican candidates running in all 50
States, so seek them out, research them, and
join with other conservatives to get the word
out, and let’s flip the House and Senate in
2010, and restore freedom and dignity to
America.

they’ll be good to go. i don’t know if obama’s healthcare will ultimately destroy the insurance

Patriotic:
Great run down, but we need 11 seats in the senate, not 20. Since Biden is the tie breaker, 50 isn’t enough. We need 51.
Considering his polls, I don’t think Timmy Geithner can print enough money to get Chris Dodd re-elected.

http://truthandcommonsense.com/2009/12/22/you-wont-see-this-video-on-cbs-pjtv-shows-the-underside-of-detroit/
I wrote a post about Crowder’s Detroit video on my website. Included was the following quote which I think applies here. I believe the people in charge, our “leaders” if you will, realized the party is about over. They cannot continue to promise and fund sweetheart deals to get voters. It was a warning by our founding fathers, it is a economic reality. What they are left with are two things; stealing everything they can get their hands on and trying to get out before the house of cards collapses.
“So, why do the so-called leaders in Detroit and D.C. think they can do better? They don’t. I think they get the fact they aren’t going to make a difference, but the ones in charge have the cash and the power and they aren’t going to let it go by saying, “oops.” The goal has shifted from any remaining idealist concept of making a better city to just getting as much cash as you can and then getting out. In D.C. the federal “leaders” aren’t far behind. Truthfully, I believe a number of them figure the Ponzi scheme they’ve been running for generations is about to collapse and they are just robbing anything they can to get cash and buy time. That goes for both sides of the aisle. Neither party is willing or able to take the hit for telling us the truth, so they continue to do what it takes to survive on a personal level. Look at the number of politicians “retiring” today. Why if things are going so good? They know it is crashing around them. They know a number of them are going to get fired anyway. They know the direction of the country is leading to failure and they want out before their names are written into history alongside Mussolini, Hitler, Chavez, Stalin and Mao.”

When I grew up in Connecticut, the thing to be was a Republican. So I was a Republican even though my father was a Democrat. Then there was a tsunami of new residents from other states and pretty soon the indigenous, really conservative Connecticut Yankees are extinct and you have a state full of idiotic Democrats. They’re an embarrassment. Dodd, Liebermann it doesn’t matter. Get a sub in Groton, sail ‘em out into the Atlantic and dive dive dive. Don’t resurface. Ever.

Thanks.
I posted that Senate Republicans need to gain 20 seats in the U.S. Senate in order to have the 60 votes needed to overcome filibusters from the Democrats.
It normally only requires 51 votes for the Senate to pass legislation, but with the polarized climate in our political system, the opposition may stall votes with a tactic called “filibustering”. To overcome a filibuster, you have to invoke a “cloture vote” to end debate and proceed to a vote. A cloture vote to overcome a filibuster requires a super-majority of 60 votes.
So with the Senate Republicans only numbering 20 right now, they need a net gain of 20 seats, to reach 60. They will most likely make up most of these seats in the 2010 elections, and hopefully make up the rest in the 2012 elections.
I post this 2010 election update from time to time to inform the readers, and to help Conservatives with grassroots efforts.

I will change my update to clarify that it only will require 51 Republican Senators to be able to vote for a Republican as the Majority Leader of the Senate, which is an 11 seat net gain. Republicans will also be considered to have “taken the Senate”.
Republicans will still need a net gain of 20 Senators to overcome filibusters though.

I have also updated my list to read that it takes 67 Senate votes to override a veto, as opposed to the 60 that I had incorrectly written.
