Support the Seals
It was 2004: Fallujah, Iraq. Four civilian U.S. contractors were transporting supplies for a catering company. They were ambushed, killed, their bodies burned and dragged through the streets, then hung from a bridge on the Euphrates River.

A NAVY SEAL TEAM captured one of the military’s “most wanted” terrorists, the one responsible for the heinous crime. Now 4 of our bravest and finest are facing prosecution because the scumbag terrorist claimed he got a bloody lip while in their custody.
Please help get the word out on the outrageous prosecution of the Navy SEAL Three—

From the video:
SO-2 Petty Officer Second Class Matthew McCabe is accused of punching the terrorist, and is also charged with dereliction of duty for “failing” to safeguard the murderer. SO-2 Petty Officer Jonathan Keefe and SO-1 Julio Huertas are being charged with dereliction of duty and making false statements. The prisoner alleges that he was punched in the face by McCabe, but it isn’t clear if the injury occurred while he was in custody or when he was captured. Please note: He was not water-boarded. He was not interrogated agressively. He was not electro-shocked or tasered. His fingernails were not pulled out. Nor was he boiled in oil, or whatever other torture he may deserve. He most certainly was not shot, burned, mutilated, nor hung from a bridge. He got a bloody lip.

The Navy Seals could face one year in prison for the fat lip.

UPDATE: House Republicans seek a reprieve for the Navy Seals.

We never saw Navy SEALs being prosecuted for being heroes when Bush was in office.
    Has something changed….?
I wonder how the House Committee on Armed Services feels about this.

I don’t think these guys should get a pass here. If they’re as elite as Navy SEALs supposedly are, then they should have known better than to abuse a suspected “terrorist” after taking him into custody. They’re going to get their day in military court, like they should, and it can be hashed out at that time and place. I hope other members of the Armed Forces can learn from the mistakes of these men and behave themselves in a way that befits the high standards that members of the military are supposedly held to.

Gerry is assuming that the Seals did, in fact, give this guy a fat lip. Like Murtha, he sees the military as guilty until proven innocent.

And, frankly, Gerry, I couldn’t care less about how the Seals handled this piece of trash. I suspect that there won’t be as many live captures in the future. Aren’t you proud of yourself.

    Gerry,

Good lord man……You have to be kidding….”they should have known better than to abuse a suspected “terrorist” “….Are you for real?!?!

This is during the heart of the conflict in 2004 mind you. Emotions run high, this creep most assuredly antagonized the situation and I think it shows just how much training and restraint these guys must have used that he just received a fat lip.

In the end the main lesson to be learned here for our brave fighting men is that on future missions to get terrorists like this, shoot first and ask questions later. A corpse can’t file charges.

Everyone remember the 2 border patrol agents that went to prison for 10 years on the word of a drug dealer?

So, you’ve decided that they’re guilty and must be made examples of. Well, dayum!! Why even bother with a pesky little thing like a trial?

There’s no need for that. Especially since gerry has decided that the terrorist murderer would *never* lie about something as dastardly as a rap in the chops. (Or does the koran specifically tell its adherents to lie to accomplish their mission? hmmmmmmm.)

Oh well. As long as gerry has decided the SeALs’ guilt, everything is OK.

Oh. BTW, gerry. You’re an idiot (and a limp-wristed code pinky).

Personally, I would have bashed that terrorist’s head into every wall I could find until I threw him in a cell. Charging those Navy Seals because the guy had a fat lip is the most asinine charge ever. The Navy Seals are trained to kill the enemy, not babysit them on the way to incarceration. Why people think the Navy Seals should live up to such a high standard, when the enemy doesn’t even come close to having any standard at all is beyond me. A terrorist’s worst fear should be getting caught…..now the U.S. military is being viewed as a joke amongst the enemy….how pathetic is that.

I feel they’ll be fine on an individual basis. It wouldn’t have gone anywhere had not a JAG from the Army got a hold of it. (Again, why I hate lawyers.) I can’t say about what message it will send, and the damage it will do to the next men standing on the line, but I’m sure nothing good will come of it.

Like I said in my more recent post about cop haters on the street in the in White House, it is going to be a bad period of time for men of rough character and a strong sense of duty. The lefties hate the fact they are beholden to those who would stand guard as they sleep. Or as it has been quoted-

Calton Bolick- Why do you say “live up to OUR International obligations”? You live in Japan. You do not get to speak on behalf of Americans. Perhaps you should stick to taking cute pictures of your homosexual outings and posting them to “artsy” websites.

Moreover, you are woefully ill-informed on this case (as is your reputation in general, as one can readily find from 5 minutes with Google). The terrorist Abed, a suspect is multiple murder-mutilations, was captured after 5 years on the run, and delivered to American authorities temporarily before being tranferred to Iraq custody prior to review. There were politcal officers present, despite your claims to the contrary.

There were NO reports of injuries to Abed until he himself claimed as such to the Iraqis. NO physical evidence proves his word against that of the SEALS.

Instead, this is a result of an overly political officer corps and JAG, NCIS and CID dirtbags who would rather make a name for themselves by sending their betters to prison than fight against any actual enemy. And as far as Gerry’s comment that the SEALS should “behave themselves in a way that befits the high standards that members of the military…,” this is the type of comment that usually comes from somebody who has never been in a physical confrontation of any kind. Can anyone imagine sending a soldier to prison in WWII for punching a NAZI? This is further evidence that we will never win a war again.

We are now fighting a civil war in our country against leftist liberal politically correct communists like Obama and his ilk.

I’d love to know if this Muslim terrorist scumbag resisted arrest in any way…that might have caused him to accidentally get an elbow in the lip.

I wonder if Calton has thought about that.

Wussy Liberal Communist Calton better hope he never encounters me in person…because I know a certain Texan who might just plant a politically incorrect Tony Lama boot toe on his butt with a few pounds of force.

Clowning Bolus seems to be trolling every website comment string that speaks favorably of the SEALS – fairly predictable behavior for a lefty moron with no obvious life aside from a tenuous claim to be a “Wikipedia Admin”, which is approximately ten steps lower in overall esteem to a prostitute’s dead cat.
