Senator John Barrosso (R-WY) asks if the democrat’s nationalized health care plan was so good why did 13 democratic senators ask to get their states exempted from parts of the bill?

Senator John Barrosso (R-WY) – Thirteen democratic senators have asked for their states to have special benefits or to be taken out of the bill. If this were such a great thing for America why would 13 democrats say they weren’t going to vote for the bill until their states had special exclusions?

Thirteen states ( read Senators ) got bribes that the people in those states don’t want. Can we get any closer to legislative anarchy than this.

We now seem to have a government of the government and by the government.

Thank you Senator Barrosso – along with Senator Coburn – for the Senate Doctor Show.

We the People thank you for fighting to keep our Constitutional God given rights.

Certainly a valid question. Don’t hold your breath waiting for an answer from any Democrat!

I see that Vermont (Do y’all know where Vermont is located???) got a very handsome reward from Patrick Leahy and Bernie Sanders…and both would have voted for it no matter what it said!

Sanders did a little grousing and Reid reached deep into OUR pockets and came up with a ten Billion dollar package that bought ol Bernie’s vote. Of course, Sanders doesn’t see it that way. He thinks it’s just the “price of doing political business”…and he’s right! In this administration, it’s obvious that the leadership uses OUR money to bribe IT’S members to pass THEIR legislation.

Similar sweetheart deal (another one?) for Chris Dodd. He desperately needs millions of OUR dollars dumped into his state so he can say HE was responsible for that happening.

Remember, NONE of these special vote bribes cost Reid or the Democrats one dollar. Every dime came from OUR pockets.

Harry Reid, Ben Nelson, Pat Leahy, Bernie Sanders and Chris Dodd would like to take this opportunity to thank y’all FOR YOUR MONEY.

Even more telling, the senators kept their own cadillac healthcare plan (so, obamacare obviously wasn’t good enough for them!!)…

    If Obamacare is so great,

    * Why not enact it NOW, before the 2010 election.

    * Why put off full implementation until 2013.

    * Why not enroll members of congress/senate and their families.

    * Why are the legislators begging to be left OUT of parts of the bill, and not asking for things SOONER.

    * Why pass as a “procedural matter” that Obamacare cannot be overturned except by a super-majority of 67 senators. Never mind it takes a super majority to put this provision IN, and Reid has ignored that.

    I could go on…

lmao. When will the Republicans actually stop hating this great nation and do something constructive. And when will they quit lying and decieving? They are happy spending a trillion on a war based upon lies, but not on the fellow Americans for much needed Health care, what a bunch of scumballs. And they didn’t have a problem when Bush pissed away a trillion on TARP, Fannie and Freddie and AIG? Such hypocritical bastards.

So on the one hand we have poor people waiting in line for food — while the Dems are waiting in line for bribes with tax payer dollars. This kind of change I can do without.

Interesting how the libs blame the TARP on Bush, ignoring that Soros caused the market crash in October to get Obummer elected.

Hey, Swizz: if Obamacare were such a great deal, why aren’t any of the Democrat Senators and Congressmen signing up for it themselves?

    Have another shot..

@swizzle: FreddieMac was asked to buy risky loans by the Democrats so that the poor can get housing. Don’t blame the Republicans for that.

    Swizzle,

It is HIGH time to live in the here and now. I am tired of the rhetoric about past presidencies and Congresses and who is to blame. We don’t pass legislation of this magnitude the way it has been done under ANY circumstances. This bill is rotted sot and EVERYONE knows it, including the ones who passed it. This IS NOT REFORM and stop attempting to lie to us or circumvent the issue with blame. If you have NOTHING constructive to add to your posts, I suggest you just read and think longer about better answers to this problem than what the fools in government have come up with. With a little practice, you can easily become better than that ilk.

    not only that, but..

    Senate proposals would exempt union-negotiated
health care plans from taxes on “Cadillac” health plans.

and heavens knows what else is in there; the same goes for the Stimulus Package that NO ONE READ & couldn’t untangle if they tried anyways..

swizzle you ignorant jizzle. YOU ASSUME to much. TARP was a bad Idea and the Republicans started going down the same wrong path as Barry. Cept Barry did it bigger and faster. Wrong is wrong, why do you think the public is so enraged. Military spending is in the constitution but healthcare is not. Listen to 6 weeks of EIB and you’ll be amazed how ignorant you were.

Senator Barrosso Makes A Good Point About Health Care Bill…

Senator John Barrosso, a Wyoming Republican, made a very good point about the Senate health care bill that was secreted through Congress in the middle of the night. He asks, if the bill is so good then why did 13 Democrat Senators ask that their states…
