GOP Reps Slam Science Czar at Global Warming Hearings–
Obama’s socialist Science Czar John Holdren, who once said that forced abortions were needed to save the planet, is linked to the Climategate Scandal.
Ranking Member Rep. Sensenbrenner grilled Science Czar Dr. Holdren at the Global Warming hearings today:
Rep. Sensenbrenner (R-WI) was brilliant in grilling Holdren on global warming junk science.
During the hearing Holdren tried to define what the meaning of “trick” is.
The AP reported:
House Republicans pointed to controversial e-mails leaked from climate scientists and said it was evidence of corruption. Top administration scientists looking at the same thing found no such sign, saying it doesn’t change the fact that the world is warming.
The e-mails from a British university’s climate center were obtained by computer hackers and posted online about two weeks ago. Climate change skeptics contend the messages reveal that researchers manipulated and suppressed data and stifled dissent, and conservative bloggers are dubbing it “Climategate.”
In the first Capitol Hill airing of the issue, House Republicans Wednesday read excerpts from at least eight of the e-mails, saying they showed the world needs to re-examine experts’ claims that the science on warming is settled. One e-mail from 2003 was by John Holdren, then of Harvard University and now the president’s science adviser.
The exploding controversy led Phil Jones to step aside as head of the climate research unit at the University of East Anglia, the source of the e-mail exchanges. The university is investigating the matter. Penn State University also is looking into e-mails by its own researcher, Michael Mann. House Republicans asked for a separate hearing or investigation into the issue, but were rebuffed by Democrats.
“These e-mails show a pattern of suppression, manipulation and secrecy that was inspired by ideology, condescension and profit,” said U.S. Rep. James Sensenbrenner, R-Wis.
Among the messages that Sensenbrenner read was one from Jones, the East Anglia scientist, in which he wrote about a “trick of adding in the real temps” in an exchange about long-term climate trends. Holdren responded that the word “trick” did not mean manipulation of data, but about a “clever way” to tackle a problem. Another Jones’ e-mail read, “I would like to see the climate change happen so the science could be proved right.”

the timing of its disclosure is not in question. The BBC was given the information a couple of months ago and refused to run w/ it.
As is often the case, the truth had to come ‘bubbling up” from other outlets.
It is not as if millions of us hadn’t already heard the intense outcry from hundreds of REAL scientists, who have been saying all along that this is all junk science.
The massive corruption now leaked only reinforces what they have been telling us and hopefully will spare the world from the massive taxation/regulations/control the elites had planned.

I think the McCarthy reference is truly apt. Tail Gunner Joe WAS RIGHT. In the mean time the press and Hollywood, etc. all spent reams of paper covering for all the communists and sympathizers screaming how Joe was evil and a liar, etc. Lo and behold, decades later we get access to the Kremlin files and what do ya know? Joe was right.
I can only hope this caves in much, much faster.

Climate change has happened before and will continue to happen. 1,000 years are nothing in the history of this planet. And the Earth has seen a lot of things that were worse than mankind.

When will the simple questions be asked. #1 explain the ice age. #2 explain the warming after the ice age. #3 explain the mini ice age. #4 explain the warming after the mini ice age. #5 explain the mid evil warming period. All man made or nature and why is it different now? Explain why the lack of solar activity means nothing, yet the sun warms the earth. There are many more questions on the skeptic’s side unanswered than there are logical reasons on the believers side.

There is a direct correlation to climate and the Earth’s magnetic field, and plenty of studies to back it up, done by a wide range of research. Funny how that part of climate is ignored, makes as much sense as ignoring Solar radiation and sunspots.

AL GORE TRICK ALERT:
The summit of Kilimanjaro is just above 19,000 feet. Water does not melt up there – it’s a steady state -3F with a very thin atmosphere that doesn’t hold heat. The Glacier is a big honkin’ ice cube sitting up there – - no “flows” like northern or southern hemisphere seasonal melting glaciers. Kilimanjaro is ALMOST unique – a mountain on the equator with an ice cap. The base is warm sultry to hot game park with lions, elephants, zebras, etc. It’s the ALTITUDE that makes the ice cap possible.
If there is ANY ice loss it is thru sublimation – ice “sublimating” because of the COLD temperatures and ZERO humidity – it skips the “melt” stage and goes to water vapor. Sublimation occurs in COLD/DRY, not warm.
Kilimanjaro is ALMOST unique. Equatorial glaciers exist in SOuth AMerica. But the REAL unique fact is AL Gore NEVER mentions Mt KENYA – on the OTHER side of the equator, FACING Kilimanjaro, with a glacier ALSO at just above 19,000 feet … what are the odds?
Mt. Kenya’s glacier has the SAME conditions as Kilimanjaro’s! But it isn’t photogenically cooperating and its glacier disproves the Gore claim that Global Warming has got Kilimanjaro’s glacier melting. Mt. Kenya’s isn’t — and neither is Kilimanjaro’s. The region around Kilimanjaro has had a drought for over ten years, which means less new snow deposited on top, but Mt. Kenya’s region, close by hasn’t had the same problem, meaning it’s localized rains shortages, not global. The two mountains are the furthest points apart on the planet still visible from each other.
Remember, the Left and Global Warming purveyors lie also by OMISSION.
(We have actually hiked to the top of Kilimanjaro – one of the few at 19,000FT that can be hiked without technical climbing. It’s volcanic scree slope – dark, and very very Mars-like bleak. But on this dark, lifeless crumbled rock is a spanking white glacier with straight, tall walls. Quite dramatic in contrasts.
And C-O-L-D!!! As in the B-I-T-T-E-R type.)

We coem from a seacoast town. Some houses are 300 years old, so the town’s been sitting on the ocean rocks for a long time. IF there was real sea level rising, that town, and every single coastal town, city, dock, pier, owner of any moored boat in the world would KNOW.

Former Vice President Al Gore on Thursday abruptly canceled a Dec. 16 personal appearance that was to be staged during the United Nations’ Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, which begins next week.
As described in The Washington Times’ Inside the Beltway column Tuesday, the multimedia public event to promote Mr. Gore’s new book, “Our Choice,” included $1,209 VIP tickets that granted the holder a photo opportunity with Mr. Gore and a “light snack.”
