Hope and Change…
“Welcome to Obamaville, Colorado’s fastest growing community.”
obamaville
An Obamaville sign was posted in front of a homeless camp in Colorado Springs says it all.

KJCT reported:

Someone has put a lot of thought into a welcome sign that may surprise you, it’s in front of a homeless camp off I-25 in Colorado Springs.

Its message, “Welcome to Obamaville, Colorado’s fastest growing community.” Despite repeated calls no one could answer the question, who put up the sign?

To some homeless the sign’s message says enough. Mark Limonez, a homeless man living in “tent city”, says the sign doesn’t make him feel good about trying to get back on his feet. “Guys are trying to work but there’s not enough work out there, so they go pan handling or flag a sign” Limonez says, “I’ve never seen so many camps since I’ve been out in the streets – there’s no money.”

OT.. bad news for Iraq, and US.. :(

    via TRBO

Aiham Alsammarae: we’ll do it the Obama way

[Alsammarae, who holds dual U.S.-Iraqi citizenship, thinks he can win in Iraq’s 2010 elections with a dose of Chicago-style politics. Over the past few months, he has quietly traveled to the city of Samarra and says he has won pledges of support from tribal leaders representing more than 20,000 voters.

He figures 50,000 votes will win him the seat.

“We have to do it the Obama way. We are trying to send a message of change. We will clean up the system,” Alsammarae says during an interview here in the Jordanian capital about his election plans.

And part of the Obama way is a big web effort:

Part of Alsammarae’s campaign money is being used to pay several Iraqi college students living in Jordan to “improve” his reputation on Iraqi blogs, where he is often pilloried with accusations of corruption.

At a recent meeting with some of the students, Alsammarae praised one young man for responding to a posting that blasted him. The student, Ali Koperly, 22, wrote on the blog that Alsammarae did a good job rebuilding Iraq’s electrical grid.

“We have to show the corruption of the
    current Iraqi government,” Koperly said.

Alsammarae has traveled to Iraq on several occasions in recent months, but he says he’ll stay clear of Baghdad until he wins a seat in parliament. After all, he says he still has enemies in the current government that he says would like to see him behind bars.

“I have to be careful,” Alsammarae says. “You never know if this government will try to make up some new charges against me.”

Great…those young bloggers should start first with Alsammarae’s appalling press conference with Radio Sawa: Pro-Obama Iraqi-American Ex-Convict Supports Increased Attacks on U.S. Troops.]

The terrible thing about the news report was that they were more concerned about who put up the sign than the reality of the homeless camp. Do you think the story line might have been a tad different if the sign said “Welcome To Bushville” instead?

Hopefully this will resonate though, Colorado is definitely in play for the Senate next year.

The news media found a message that wasn’t in line with the leftist orthodoxy. They were so surprised, they had to investigate.

No one at the TV station thought for a second to question any leftist policies though. No curiosity at all about that.

Maybe the sign was financed by the stimulus bill. It saved or created the sign-makers’ jobs.

Yoodles — Scary isn’t it that no one seems to care about the occupants of these tent cities only who named them. In fact there have been no stories about those middle class families who have fallen through the cracks because of bad mortgages. All we get is Obama crowing about saving this economy from bad old Bush. I wish Bush were still President. At least life made sense then. We knew who the bad guys were.

For those interested in Aihan Alsammarae (who was mentioned in the comments here), the following is from my book, The Obama Timeline:

In April of 2005, while Aiham Alsammarae is Iraq’s Minister of Electricity, a $50 million contract is negotiated with a company called Companion Security to train Iraqi security guards in Illinois. Companion Security is run by Daniel T. Frawley and a Tony Rezko/Daniel Mahru partnership. In May a Panamanian company, Fintrade Services, lends money to Rezko. On Fintrade’s board of directors is Ibtisam Auchi, wife of Nadhmi Auchi. Another of Nadhmi Auchi’s companies helps finance a power plant in Iraq, working with Rezko and Aiham Alsamarrae. Alsamarrae is a Chicago resident with dual (U.S. and Iraqi) citizenship. He was accused of graft with Iraqi construction projects and imprisoned for four months in Iraq in a $2 billion corruption case. Obama is thus a critic of the War in Iraq at the same time he is receiving political favors and contributions from Rezko, who is in turn dealing with Iraqis and kickback schemes

Obama and his idiot congress (again I repeat myself) are making the same gross errors that FDR made which elongated the Great Depression through 1946. No prior panic or depression lasted more than 18 months.

Wonder why? Bc the Fed didn’t exist and the guvmint hadn’t usurped sufficient power to totally screw productive people.

John B. go on and call me a racist. Call me anything you want. Just don’t call me late for dinner.

Oh! Check that! I feed myself unlike liberal scumbags that think its someone else’s duty to provide for them – and want something for nothing from somebody!!!! Please feed me!!!! Or that blame someone else bc they’re are useless tools.

It’ll take O time to undo all the good Dubya did. But he’s feverishly working on it when he’s not trying to imitate T Woods or taking Michele out on $500,000 dates on the taxpayer’s dime.

Harry Reid Inserts Lifetime Limits (Death Sentence?) in Health Care Bill

An alarming find comes to us via the inveterate investigative blogger Jane Hamsher, often seen on TV news programming. The Senate bill contains a lifetime limit placed on the care that ill patients can receive. The next time an Obamabot mocks your assertion that the legislation would ration care, or if you dare to use the incendiary phrase “death panels” — if a lifetime limit on treatments and drugs isn’t a death sentence, please tell me what is! — you can tell them that Jane, a very liberal blogger, cancer survivor and all-around fine person, has unearthed the following in her post, “Harry Reid Slips Lifetime Limit Into Senate Bill“.

Hey, John B: I get it! The joke was on everyone else who thought you were serious when you posted that. But I can get it when someone tries to get a rise out of others by saying something outlandishly sarcastic. Good show, you had quite a few of ‘em fooled!

To those of you who think he was serious, I mean, re-read the thing. The legality of Obama’s election was not in question in this article, no supporter would bring it up his birth certificate reference out of context like that – they want to sweep that under the rug. And an Obama supporter would use a more glowing word to describe the Messiah than “competent”.

The racist thing is an overused lefty defense of Obama criticism, and readers here are so keenly aware of it we preempt the claim by mocking it.

This post was a spoof by a fellow conservative making a sarcastic comment. Seems it was lost on most everyone up ’til now. But I got it and man, that was a great one.

Now, if you overreacted and read it straight, the joke was on you. Don’t be so quick to take bait like that. When debating real lefties they’ll try to distract you, upset you and then hope independents see you as the weirdo. Don’t get sucked into that, we need to persuade I’s to come back to reality from the la-la land they thought they elected.
