Once again, United Nations troops accused of killing and raping innocent civilians.
This time the troops were stationed in the Congo.
The AP reported:

A U.N.-backed Congolese military operation to oust rebels from eastern Congo has caused more civilian casualties than damage to rebels, with more than 1,400 people deliberately killed over a nine-month period, human rights groups said Monday.

Human Rights Watch said it had documented “vicious and widespread” attacks against civilians by soldiers and rebels between January and September. Soldiers being fed and supplied with ammunition by the United Nations have killed civilians, gang-raped girls and cut the heads off some young men they accuse of being rebels or supporting the enemy, groups said.

“For every rebel combatant disarmed, one civilian has been killed, seven women and girls have been raped, six houses have been burned and destroyed and 900 people have been forced to flee their homes,” British-based organization Oxfam said.

Human Rights Watch said it documented the killings of 732 civilians between January and September by the Congolese army and troops from neighboring Rwanda fighting alongside it. In the same period, it counted 701 civilians killed by the rebels they are fighting.

“Some victims were tied together before their throats were, according to one witness, ’slit like chickens.’ The majority of the victims were women, children, and the elderly,” the group said.

More than 7,500 cases of sexual violence against women and girls were registered at health centers during that nine-month period, nearly double that of 2008 and likely representing only a fraction of the total.

    This just in………

UN secures top law enforcement official for investigation into abuse.

(New York – APUPICNNMSNBCEIEIO) – The United Nations has secured the services of South Park Colorado’s Officer Barbrady to conduct a very serious investigation into why George W. Bush and Dick Cheney caused the UN Peace-Loving…….er…… Peace-KEEPING forces to be subjected to such terrible abuse at the hands of Congolese Tea Party attendees.

At the initial press conference held at The Waldorf Astoria Hotel’s grand ballroom during a lobster and fillet mignon lunch, Officer Barbrady stunned the assembled media with his response to the first question asked regarding plans for the task at hand.

“After a throrough ‘pre-investigation investigation’, daaaaaah, I have determined that there’s nothing to see here. Move on, you Lookie-Lou’s.”

So what the UN is attempting to do, figuratively, to the US, they are literally doing to the Congo?

But the UN is always right!

    How dare you!

    Heretic!

Al Gore will descend upon you!

Ok, that is actually a scary thought. Imagine it… OI!

The UN should be immediately de-funded and shut down on American soil.

It drains money from the U.S., serves as a hostel for 3rd World dictators who want to stand on our soil and spit in our face, and accomplishes more bad than good.

If our president had the guts of say, the former governor of Alaska, things might change.

Ladue Pundit: You are 100% correct but don’t expect any action from the white house or congress, they are active in the same murder/rape as the U.N. Just look at the ’safe schools czar’ for all the proof any sane person needs. U.S. lawmakers and the U.N. have placed themselves above the law.

UN “peacekeepers” have been raping and murdering for decades. These are the same thugs who now want complete economic control of us.

As I recall, it was former and should now be senator Norm Coleman, who took on and exposed UN corruption and violence.

That is why left stole the election from him.

Why do we continue to give this organization US oxygen to breathe?

Seems we could get rid of a lot of CO2 liability if we kicked this corrupt thug organization to the curb!

And a country would want UN presence within their borders why again…for protection?

Right, still trying to get the hang of this double-speak.

UN ‘protection’ + UN ‘peace keeping’ = rape + abuse

While we take the UN to task for this (And we should.), let us remember to pray for people of good will in the Congo and region. The wars against civilians there are horrific and have been for years.
