Illinois Gubernatorial Candidate and conservative Adam Andrzejewski rallied supporters in O’Fallon, Illinois this afternoon.
It was a standing room only crowd.

While campaigning in O’Fallon the Andrzejewski team announced that Adam had just received the endorsement of the largest Chicago Polish paper today. And…. It was announced that Adam had surged to within two points in an internal poll conducted by a conservative organization in Washington DC. Andrzejewski was 8 points down earlier in the week in the Illinois race.

It may have been the endorsement by Lech Walesa that helped Andrzejewski surge in the latest polling. And this is despite the fact that the mainstream Chicago news mostly ignored Walesa’s historic endorsement.

I’ll post more video from the rally today later today.

By the way: The mainstream media may not be tuned into Adam Andrzejewski but the internet sure is. And, today I had the great honor of introducing Adam at the rally.

More… The leader in the GOP race right now is Kirk Dillard who endorsed Obama.

UPDATE: Race 4 2008 has a great take on Andrzejewski’s surge.

Keyboard Militia has more on the rally today.

    Wow!
    Think of this irony:

In 2006 Senator Obama of Illinois goes to Kenya to campaign for self-professed communist Odinga, now in 2010 anti-communist Lech Walesa (!!) goes to Illinois to campaign for conservative Andrzejewski.

    Can’t make up this stuff.

Great! We are voting for him Tuesday as well as our friends, this is wonderful news. The more he is out and about, the better he’s doing!

We planned on voting for him before Lech Walesa came here, and, we are happy he endorsed Adam, more voters are taking a serious look. If Lech sees something in the man, so should they.

Illinois needs to get past the crooks and cronies.

    Wow…that’s a Scott Brown-like surge. Let’s hope for a similar outcome.

I don’t know what the polls say about the general election. But I have to believe that as many problems as Blago left the state, including near bankruptcy, together with the unending corruption, that whoever wins the Republican primary will be the frontrunner in the general election.

    This story is EPIC.

In Poland’s time of need, our own fearless leader stood in solidarity with Solidarity, and helped save the Polish people gain freedom from their Communist oppressors.

Now, as we Americans are losing our freedoms to our own communist bullies, here comes Poland’s brave leader to try to help save US!

History is coming full circle, and let us hope that this episode has as happy an ending as the episode 20 years ago….

    Ignore the Negative Posts!

Let’s not get all worked up over the negative posts because that’s just what they want. Instead here is a post from Patriotic Resistors.

Illinois you have the backing of 7,595 patriots in the sovereign states that surround you in 2010

I’d like to help with an encouragement and prayer motivational effort for Illinois this year. envisioning the nation and ”surrounding sovereign states” shoulder to shoulder with you during your upcoming battles. Alone your patriot base of 1,818 is powerful, but with the aid and support of your friend and neighbor states that surround you, an additional 7, 595 fill your ranks.

I truly believe you are of the keystones to victory and restoring the Republic. It can happen from home, it can happen from anywhere, all at the keystroke, the nation moving as one.

Look at the magnifying power of support and prayer from surrounding states, as opposed to a single state fighting for thier familes and us. This kind of power does not exist in the mechanical and hollow organizational structure of the Progressive Movement.

Patriotic Resistors, Tea Party Patriots, Oathkeepers, As A Mom, America Coast 2 Coast, Patriots For America, FreedomWorks, 912 Coalition, 912 Project, Smart Girl Politics….All of us are as one, patriots exist in each of these and need to share words of encouragement. It is important to pay it forward, each state looking after one another.

We cannot be conquered if we stick together, we cannot be isolationists in our own states, or we all lose.

Thank you again and keep up the fight, continue organic awareness, and our restoration of humanity. The only items that really in the end, will make the difference.

If that does not inspire all of us to get on the phone bank and just keep plugging away and we can just laugh at the nay sayers on Wed.

Actually, if you bother to check your facts, you’ll find that NY-23 has been controlled more by democRATS than Republicans. All you’re doing is parroting a story from the left. You could even look it up in Wikipedia. The truth is there to see.

And, the Independent lost because of scozzafava (sp?) not dropping out earlier and then giving her endorsement to the leftist.
You’ve over-simplified that race to the point of misrepresentation.

I have been a fan of the brash and outspoken Proft, myself, but he’s not in a position to compete with the combine. The news of Adam’s surge has me in his court.

My concern all along has been that a vote for Proft or Adam is a vote for Dullard. Dullard is the only one I won’t support in the general — he’s a total douchebag. McKenna’s a rich boy and his parents are socialite friends of our idiot President (although Republican in general), but I’d vote for him under duress. Ryan…meh. Brady…meh.

There is another terrific conservative candidate in the IL governor primary race whom I am supporting and will be voting for on Tuesday. Dan Proft. Dan Proft is adopted so he is very vocally pro-life. Both he and Adam are still pretty far down in all national published polls as recently as Friday afternoon (well below Dillard and McKenna) but Proft has consistantly had higher polling than Adam. I like Adam a lot but compared to Proft he comes across as a little naive and, while very appealing, really is much less deft at debate. Either one of them would be a breath of air as governor of IL, but please be wary of “surges” in “internal polls”. The Lech Walesa endorsement was a terrific coup for Adam, though, no doubt. Glad to see so much interest in this race.

Whether it is Proft, whom I support, or Adam, we conservatives have the insiders quaking in their elitist shoes. The Chicago media are going to try every trick in the book to eliminate the conservative as early as they can in the general. I choose Proft because of the reasons Elizabeth R. stated above. Plus Proft is on record saying that he will take a bicycle chain to the playground in Springfield. The key point is, I believe he will.

I have emailed all of the people on my lists and my supporters telling them why I am firmly supporting Adam Andrzejewski for Governor of Illinois.
I like Adam, I truly do. I’ve met him at several campaign events and he’s a right guy, but I also liked Bill Brady and I was torn between the two of them. After consulting with people in the party, I discovered that he signed a bill giving in-state tuition rates to ILLEGAL ALIENS!! On Friday 1/29/10 at another campaign event, I had the chance to corner Brady and ask him about it point blank–I’m a no-nonsense woman and when I ask you a question, I expect an answer. Don’t weasel around, ANSWER THE QUESTION because I respect the straight truth. When I asked Brady what he was thinking about when he signed the bill GIVING IN-STATE TUITION TO ILLEGAL ALIENS, he said that he didn’t think it was right to punish kids for something their parents did when they were children. I pointed out to him that after the Illinois taxpayers finished subsidizing their education, they would NOT be able to get a JOB in the United States because they are here ILLEGALLY. Apparently Senator Brady doesn’t have a good grasp on what the word ILLEGAL means as he again said that it wasn’t their fault–they were children. I then pointed out to him that they were of age–over 18 since they are in college (and COULD BE DEPORTED back to their native land) and SHOULD BE DEPORTED immediately. He reiterated that he thought it was the “compassionate” thing to do. I then pointed out that if my niece who lives in Florida wanted to go to school in Illinois, she would have to pay a very HEFTY surcharge being an out-of-state student–however SHE IS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN! I then asked Senator Brady “Why is it OK to give in-state tuition rate to someone here ILLEGALLY, but not to an American citizen? He was clearly uncomfortable with this line of questioning and was desperate to get away from me and the table full of people that I was sitting with who were obviously unaware that he had voted IN FAVOR of ILLEGAL ALIENS. I am not playing around with the illegal alien issue. Costello (who will be my opponent should I win tomorrow’s primary) has also voted repeatedly to grant amnesty to illegals and this is the WRONG way to go. There is only one solution and it’s very simple: KICK THEM OUT–NOW!! No birthright citizenship for babies born to illegal aliens either. I absolutely cannot support Bill Brady for Governor of Illinois based on his support for illegal aliens. I wanted to support him because I liked his positions on a lot of things but this is one I just cannot get past–EVER.
I have been an adamant and steadfast supporter of tossing out every illegal alien in this country and will continue to do so. LaRaza despises me–and I don’t care. To continue to support Brady after his support of illegal aliens would be hypocrisy of the worst kind. McKenna never had a chance with me because he does not support concealed carry and tried to weasel out of a question about it by saying he “hadn’t supported it in the past” and implying he would in the future–so I asked him POINT BLANK “Will you support Concealed Carry permits in the future?” and giving me a look that shot daggers said “NO”. That was all I needed to hear to rule him out. It was then between Brady and Adam for me and I wanted to hear about why Brady supported giving in-state tuition to illegal aliens from him directly. He told me and I can’t support it or him because of it.
I would also appreciate the support of the voters of the 12th Illinois Congressional district tomorrow as I have a primary to win in order to go on and take out Jerry Costello. Tomorrow is the day–let’s get out and VOTE!

Anyone supported by a strong anti-communist and defender of freedom like Lech Walesa is just fine with me. Go AA and win one for America, and start to take down the communist attack on America, led by the commie moslem Illegal alien, Barak Insane Obama.

Ditto “the rifleman”. If anyone can recognize a candidate for Liberty, it’s Mr. Walesa!

And the chance to close a circle with a hero of the Cold War helping to win a home court victory against Obama the statist. Too delicious.

I like Proft and would probably support him in a head to head race against Adam, but it’s not a head to head race, and being as I haven’t seen a poll with Proft ahead of Adam, or even out of single digits, and given the threat that Dillard might win, in spite of the epic lapse in judgement that was his Obama endorsement, I’m going to be voting for Adam.

Peggy says “do not vote for anyone named Andrew/Andy…” here’s why… based on my impressions as a lifelong (40+ years) Illinois resident and political junkie:

Andy McKenna is bad news because during his tenure as chairman of the Illinois GOP (the ONLY political job he’s ever had) the party LOST every single statewide office, and could not even defeat Blago in 2006, AFTER it had become more than obvious that Blago was severely ethically challenged. Plus, McKenna’s entire campaign strategy is based on blitzing the airwaves with commercials bashing his opponents, while he tells viewers what they want to hear. Who does that remind me of? You guessed it — Blago. I could support or at least tolerate any of the other GOP candidates but McKenna.

As for Andy Martin (whose real name is Anthony Robert Martin Trigona… a quick google search will reveal why he changed it)… he’s even worse news. Absolutely DO NOT vote for him! He is a loony wannabe attorney who has tried to run for office in three different states over 30 years, and when he’s not running for office, files frivolous lawsuits against people he doesn’t like. I would not elect him dogcatcher, let alone Senator, no matter how pro-life or conservative he says he is. If you must vote for someone other than Kirk, I suggest you vote for Patrick Hughes (I will).

I do believe Adam A. is an admirable young man with great potential; but I am not sure that he is quite ready to be governor given the horrendous fiscal problems we are facing. (To some extent, that is a job I would not wish on my worst enemy!) I would, however, like to see him be appointed budget director or something similar by our next governor (whom I am fairly sure will be Republican), or perhaps, try serving in a lower office (state rep? Congress?) before coming back to fight another day. Or perhaps he could challenge “Turban” Dick Durbin for HIS seat in four years?

My wife and I both voted for Adam today. After a thorough review of the candidates, I don’t see how any honest voter would consider anybody but Adam. He’s the ONLY one with no political baggage. He owes nobody any favors. And his passion on much needed fiscal and ethical reform comes across very clearly.

A vote for Adam is a vote AGAINST the establishment, against business-as-usual, against the kind of quid-pro-quo politics Chicago is famous for, and a vote for a new beginning in politics.

Everyone seems to lament about how disgusting politics has become, how career minded politicians are, and how corrupt the system now is. Well, here is your chance to do something about it. Vote for Adam Andrzejewski and let’s usher in the beginning of a more honest, transparent, and RESPONSIBLE government. We deserve it!!!
