Bond said the tea partiers help make up the Taliban wing of the GOP.
…Because to Bond and the NAACP cracking down on out of control government spending is the same as suicide bombing.

Far Left hack Julian Bond attacked the GOP during a speech at Radford University this week. This speech was part of the MLK Jr. holiday celebration at the university.
Roanoke.com reported, via FOX Nation:

In a speech Wednesday, NAACP Chairman Julian Bond called on defenders of civil rights to support the country’s first black president as he faces what is expected to be tough second year in office.

Bond’s remarks at Radford University’s fourth annual celebration of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday came a day after the Democratic Party lost the late Ted Kennedy’s Massachusetts Senate seat to Republican Scott Brown, and with it, the party’s filibuster-proof majority.

The election puts Obama’s health care overhaul in jeopardy and has caused speculation that public opinion may be turning against the president.

While “black faces in high places” give reason for hope, Bond, the 70-year-old founder of the storied Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, argued that “racism is alive and well for every nonwhite American, including the president.”

Obama’s historic election has ironically caused complacency among some civil rights supporters, who see it is a sign that racism in America is dead.

But that same election has energized “the Taliban wing” of the Republican Party, Bond said, from anti-government groups such as the “birthers,” who challenge Obama’s citizenship, to “tea party” members who call for the dismantling of much of the federal government.

MLK Holiday just isn’t complete without some fool blasting the GOP on stage.
And, there’s no bigger fool than Julian Bond.

Bond spoke out in support of Harry Reid after his racist comments were made public earlier this month.

I would say Obama’s extremist policies energized us, along with the super majority. These things all together spelled a national emergency. The lunatics were running the asylum. Look at the 2000+ page healthcare bill. Only a lunatic would write something that long and convoluted. Government panel after government panel. Do YOU want to stand in front of a government panel begging for healthcare?

Sorry to say this, but the post-racial status of Barack Obama lacks credibility and doesn’t pass the smell test.

Barack Obama and Eric Holder have continued their coverup of voter intimidation with threats of racial uprising and/or violence by the Black Panthers at the Pennsylvania polling precincts during the 2008 election. Televised video from sources including the highest ranked cable news network of the nightstick wielding Black Panther radicals standing in front of the doorways leading to the voting precinct were reported to the police. The police responded and removed the weapons but allowed the radical intimidation and threatening by the Black Panther members who continued their presence as poll watcher and guards outside the entrance.

Subsequent charges were dropped without just cause by Eric Holder on behalf of the U.S. Department of Justice, and further obstruction by Eric Holder and the office of the U.S. Department of Justice continue to prevent the lawful process of judicial resolution, thereby allowing racially motivated and threatening of violence and discrimination by the Black Panthers on those whom they see prejudicially as unfavorable voters because of their race.

Dell, you beat me to it.

MLK was a Republican for good reason: like nearly 100% of blacks in his day, he knew the truth about the Democrat Party that has been kept intentionally from the blacks today by the Democrat-run school systems.

Wikipedia even whitewashes it all. The NAACP, MLK, all of it has been whitewashed, and the word “Republican” has been scrubbed from nearly all online accounts of the history of race in this nation.

The truth that MLK knew, since it was patently obvious, and since the schools, media, and the lion’s share of the publishing industry had yet to be taken over by Democrats and communists, was that Democrats created the Klan, Democrats were the ones with the firehoses, Democrats were the ones who wrote and passed every single Jim Crow abomination into law, Democrats were the ones burning crosses and wearing white cloaks, Democrats were the ones blocking every single legislation that would have bestowed full rights as humans and citizens on black Americans, and the Republicans were the ones marching in the streets hand-in-hand with MLK.

The Democrats proceeded to re-enslave the black population with the Great Welfare Society, which succeeded beyond the Klan’s wildest dreams, and proceeded to remake their image into “Black’s Best Friend”, and to turn the Republicans into demons who were the “real” racists.

A bigger, more nefarious deception has never been perpetrated on a single group of people as this utterly satanic Big Lie.

The racist Democrats will burn in hellfire for what they’ve done. It is an evil unprecedented in human history.

Aside: what do I say to someone who tells me, when I tell them the facts above, “well, it was a different time then…”, which is a very common refrain, and then they go on believing that the Dems CARE about black Americans, as if nothing I said ever happened. Is the brainwashing so complete that facts don’t matter at all?

What is so galling about race-trionics is its failure to acknowledge the sacrifices made by U.S. Union soldiers to defeat the Confederacy and end slavery. Like too many on the left they believe a law on a piece of paper gives us and them freedom. Wrong. Very wrong. The debt for our freedom was paid in blood…more than 300,000 Union casualties, not to mention the casualties of the Revolutionary War. The outcome of either war was never certain, and yet hundreds of thousands of men and their families were willing to pay the ultimate price for the freedom of peole they had never met. Our Constitution continues to survive due only to the willing sacrifice of servicemen and women-past and present. What do we owe all of these people, or their heirs?

The race baiters need to step back a bit and be eternally thankful for where they live. Just as I do.

BigAl, take all of your examples and replace the word “black” with “white.” Half of the American population would be outraged. It’s a double-standard that is heavily engrained in the psyche of those who believe it. I personally was hoping the election of Barak Obama would force a change (or a mirror) to those who cry racism as their first and last accusation, regardless of the subject. Unfortunately the hope of this was short-lived. It was not long before for those who perceive every matter through a skewed victim-mentality began throwing their self-righteous stones once again. If the election of a black president with a huge caucasian following did not prove that there’s not a white conspiracy panel (usually referred to as the infamous “they”) who meet every Saturday to study ways to “keep the non-white population” down, the only solution to this problem is an evolution of the mind that can only be accomplished by the natural changing of generations and the fact that “time heals all wounds.” It’s sad but unfortunately we are the generation that has to bear the “You won’t give me free healthcare regardless of the factors so therefore you are racist, you will not promote me even if I don’t pass the test standard (New England firefighters) so therefore you are racist, you called me out when I was in error so therefore you are racist” burden. Why not? When all else fails and one has no other defense, just cry racism. Even Hillary Clinton cashed in with her comments about finding out if America is more sexist than they are racist.

“Mr. Lincoln I wish you were here, cause things have changed alot in a hundred years. And I don’t think it’s working out like you planned. Mr. Lincoln we sure could use a hand.” (Hank Williams Jr.) (And please don’t ask me why I chose to quote Hank. lol)

Our country was once great. Will we will never see this again. God help us.

May I also add that the comparison of the conservative groups in the United States to the Taliban was an extremely ignorant thing to say. How ridiculous. The Taliban forbids girls to go to school. The Taliban forces innocent young children to strap on vests with explosive devices. The Taliban takes over villages and rapes women to instill fear. Who is this stupid fool? What a politically incorrect and stereotypical thing to say Mr. leader of the NAACP. Or whoever you are.

Obama is attacking “risk taking,” that very human characteristic at the heart of America’s success.

The Presidential attacks should be very troubling to taxpayers for more profound reasons.

OK, let’s see. Supporting Obama solely because he’s (partially) black, regardless of his destructive policies, isn’t a racist thing to do.

But, not supporting Obama, solely because of his destructive policies, is racist.

    Got it.
    I’m a racist.
