Scott Brown’s campaign is picking up steam in the race for US Senate.
Online donors helped the charismatic Republican raise $700,000 in the past 6 weeks.
And, his creative advertising on fiscal responsibility is helping to lift his campaign. In this ad Scott Brown and John F. Kennedy take turns reading from the same 1962 Kennedy speech calling for tax cuts.
Republican U.S. Senate candidate Scott Brown and President Kennedy are two different people, from different parties and different eras, but they agree that broad-based tax cuts will create jobs and stimulate the economy.
The Boston Herald reported:
While Democrat Martha Coakley has raked in more than five times GOP rival Scott Brown’s donations, the underdog state senator’s fund raising is picking up steam in the final weeks of the race for U.S. Senate.
Coakley, the state’s attorney general, yesterday announced she’d raised $1 million in the last six weeks for a total of $5.2 million since her campaign began.
Brown’s campaign has received $700,000 in the past six weeks – considerably higher than previous totals – putting his war chest just over the $1 million mark.
“There has been an explosion of interest in Scott Brown’s campaign and a lot of his fund-raising energy is coming from online donations,” said senior adviser Eric Fehrnstrom, who added that most of Brown’s money has come from small donations.
“We expect to be outspent, and we are enormously pleased with the surge of fund raising,” he said.
Coakley spokesman Corey Welford attributed her financial advantage to “grassroots support.”
She had also taken in $161,100 from political action groups as of Nov. 30, records show.
Among her biggest donors are fellow lawyers, who kicked in a total of about $615,000 as of last month, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

Hey Jimmy Boy! Why haven’t you featured this headline?
North Korea calls for end to hostile relations with US
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/jan/01/north-korea-end-hostile-relations
Is it because it wouldn’t fire up your base of super far right hate mongering fans? Is it because it is proof that dialogue works? If you wold have had it your way the US would have carried out a bombing campaign on NK. This of course would have brought China into the mix in a bad way. The US would no longer be the US if China was brought into the mix in a bad way. Keep Hating in 2010 Jim!

Thank you SO much for posting this, GP! It’s so important that we elect Brown on the 19th.

Hey JC, are all you commie wankers that illiterate? Strive for stupidity!
January 1st, 2010 | 11:25 am | #6
And a quick follow-up to that, there’s also a “$5.00 for Freedom” push, so if anyone can spare even $5.00, please donate to Scott Brown’s campaign. As the article says, most of Scott’s donations have been small amounts, but they add up if there are enough of them.
His would be the much-needed 41st Senate vote to break the dems’ 60 votes. We can do this!
January 1st, 2010 | 11:39 am | #7
Brown MUST be elected on the 19th!
We have to neuter that clown Al Franken and traitor Ben Nelson from the 60 vote majority.

“Among her biggest donors are fellow lawyers”.
And is not that the root of the problem right there?
“hate mongering fans?”, JC. Your the only hater I see here.
I would say JC that you were talking about the leftist scum who are wishing death on their political opponents. Leftist are very good at killing domestic enemies. Not this time. Not in my country. So sorry you won’t be living out your Pol Pot dreams on Americans. How sad your tiny life must be, like so many tyrants of the past. Time to put the SS Sturmbahnfurer uniform back in the closet until next Halloween, you fraud. The NEA strikes again.
That hate is going to eat you alive, JC. And you won’t even have the love of our Savior, which you appear to have rejected by the way you carelessly use His name to wipe your filth all over the message boards. Very sad.”

It’ll be interesting to see how much of the donations come from out of state and people see this as an opportunity to take a vote away from the 60 the democrats need to push legislation through.

Jim H. Many thanks for drawing attention to Scott Brown’s campaign, and encouraging people to donate. I am a volunteer for his campaign, which I believe is going much better than is being recognized, especially by the RINO-ridden GOP. In phoning lots of MA residents we are finding lots of people who have had it with the Democrats.
snewb, I take every opportunity to refer to Al Franken as the “ACORN Senator from Minnesota”; hope you and others will ind it a habit worth adopting.f

Coakley fundraising numbers not as good as they look; most were during primaries, and she is tweeting for $25 contributions to create the appearance of momentum, http://is.gd/5IQ9t

Posters on GP are asking where is Steele and Cornyn. They are exactly where the RNC has been since 2006. There are trying to osculate the posteriors of the media and elites as they lose elections. Moronic Michael and clueless Cornyn handed over a million to Scozzafava but a pittance to a republican with real charisma in Massachusetts.
I have returned more than a dozen RNC and congressional fund raising solicitation letters with the notation, RE: Dede Scozzafava and Grahamnesty, Castle, and Bono. No money for Republicans from me until Cornyn, Steele, and Gingrich and the rest of the RINOs in DC are gone.
Leave it to the Republican Rinos to consistently snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The Republican Party will surely go the of way of the Whigs and deservedly so.

Great slapdown Toaster!
I just contributed to Scott Brown, as I have to Joe Wilson (who first inspired me), along with Marco Rubio and Sarah Palin. With diligence and some pain I’ve turned one of our 4 kids away from the lunacy, can’t stop there.

Here’s a link to the Scott Brown for Senator campaign where you can make a campaign donation. The climate is right to take down the Kenyan Village idiot and the Manchurian commie- in- chief or at least give him a damn hard kick in the posterior and shins. The rino rideen RNC is asllep at the wheel as always.

Thank you Agent. We had a wonderful evening with Scott:
http://the-raw-deal.com/2009/12/30/scott-browns-first-tv-commercial-release/
Scott made it clear he is really on his own out there and needs everyone’s help. When most think of a political campaign, they generally assumed there is some gigantic fund-raising machine behind the effort. Not remotely true in Scott’s case (as he explained in our living room). Every dollar raised makes a difference, YOU can make a difference. Get the word out! Only 18 days remain…

How do you think a Texas caller should approach a Massachusetts voter when calling…I don’t think I can fake a northern accent.I will start tommorrow…and what key points would motivate these people?
January 1st, 2010 | 3:15 pm | #25
Simple. Drop your R’s and hide the southern hospitality.
Key Points:
1.Scott’s vote can block the Health Care Bill (Reid would no longer have 60)
2.LOWER TAXES-that’s a big one. His approach to creating jobs (rather than handouts)
3.Abortion
4.He hasn’t bent from 12 years on Beacon Hill (if you can hack it there, you will be fine in Congress)
5. His daughter was a finalist on American Idol (this is true but I might leave it out when calling *wink*)
And finally, he firmly believes in term limits in Washington. Career politicians defeat the entire purpose.
Should anyone else have questions about what they can do personally to support Scott’s race, simply contact me at The Raw Deal. I also have about 20 bumper stickers left and would be happy to mail one out to any Massachusetts resident (my treat). If interested, you can email me at nathanjessup@the-raw-deal.com

Martha Coakley’s Political House On Fire
Martha Coakley just returned from six days on vacation in the middle of a special election. Ever since the December 8 primary, Coakley has attempted to portray an air of inevitability, by seeming not to care about Scott Brown’s candidacy, refusing to debate him one-on-one, and by touting misleading fundraising numbers to make it seem as if money is pouring in (Martha, will you release your post-primary numbers?)
Welcome back from vacation. Your political house is on fire.

Doesn’t Scott Brown support requiring people by law to obtain health insurance? That’s what the 2006 Massachutts health care law (signed in by Mitt Romney) requires and he says he supports that. All you have to do is check Scott Brown’s own website under Issues
Scott Brown seems like another politician who uses partisanship to get elected. I do not see him as the type to stand on principle if elected.
This kind of reminds me how conservatives were so excited about getting Arnold Schwarzenegger elected Governor in California. Well they aren’t too excited about him now are they?
Conservatives seem to be doomed to repeat history over and over again.
