Let’s see… Just this week we discovered:

– The UN panel based claims about disappearing ice were based on a student’s dissertation!
– The UN climate chief knew about bogus glacier studies before he went to the UN Copenhagen summit.
– Oh… And he has a chauffer take him to work each day from his home that is one mile away.
– The UN also fudged data on the disappearing Amazon rain forests.
– Not to mention this year’s record cold and snow is killing thousands of livestock.

It’s no wonder then that climate change ranks dead last among priorities for American voters.

But, that won’t stop awful RINO Lindsey Graham from pushing Congress to pass some “climate change” legislation this year. Graham told an audience this week that Congress must pass junk science legislation and take further control of the energy sector and raise costs and taxes because “Congress needs a win.”
The National Journal reported:

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said today that skeptical Republicans and Democrats should throw their support behind climate change legislation not only because it’s good for the economy and the environment, but because Congress desperately needs a win under its belt.

“We tried immigration. It’s hard. And we failed. We tried Social Security. It’s hard. And we failed. We tried health care. It’s really hard. And it looks like we’re going to have to start over again,” Graham somberly told a luncheon audience of energy and climate advocates on the Hill. “On the energy, climate change front, I don’t want to add that to the list. There is no reason in my mind that the Republican Party and the Democratic Party can’t come together.”

Is it too early to start donating to a real conservative to defeat this RINO clown in his next election?

I for one agree with ole Lindsey. Congress should pass a law that states that Spring arrives on March 21st or thereabouts.

Also, congress should put a permanent ban on hurricanes. At least on hurricanes hitting the US. Those things stink.

the truth shall reveal itself.. all the “retiring cronies” are getting theirs by making deals with the Obama administration.. seeing as how they didn’t work all that hard for Bush, imo, the RINO’s worked just as hard against him as the Dems did (i think they draw straws to see who will take the plunge so to speak)..

still think Obama won’t manage to bring

NO CAP & TAX — NO WAY, NO HOW

We are sitting on a gold mine of natural gas, enough to completely free us from outside sources of energy. I’m not opposed to alternative energy sources in addition to our readily available supply of sources, but taxing something just for the purpose of “giving congress a win” is ridiculous.

If Obama’s poll numbers are still in the toilet two years from now, and it looks as though a conservative is going to win the Republican nomination, my guess is the media’s going to be sweet-talking Graham a whole lot to pull a John Anderson and run as a third party candidate in hopes of pulling GOP voters away, just as they hoped Anderson would keep Reagan from beating Carter in 1980.

As a South Carolinian, I can say that Sen Graham is a HUGE disappointment for conservatives in this state and the nation.

Ever since he called me a bigot in 2007 I have had zero respect for the man or his office. His buddy John McCain is another “Republican” who does not deserve a vote from conservatives either.

I think Graham is up for re election in 2012. We conservatives are hopeful that someone of the caliber of Senator DeMint steps up to challenge cabana-boy Graham.

The win this congress needs to to reaffirm that the EPA does not have LEGISLATIVE power to ram CO2 controls down our throat. The win this congress needs is to stop the reckless funding of Fannie and Freddy; they are at it again with unlimited taxpayer backing. The win this congress needs is to affirm offshore drilling and energy exploration to reset the dial on energy producton. Graham is a jackass in the elephant party.

In politics, if it doesn’t make sense, follow the money. I’ll bet my bottom inflated dollar that Lindsey Graham stands to get money (and/or campaign cash) out of this. He’d better be careful: lawsuits and investigations are starting. Just look at the companies and household budgets that have been adversely affected by this global warming hoax. Phil Jones reportedly might face prison time for fraud. The hockey stick designer may face repercussions, too. Scientists have been looking into suing the grand poobah Gore himself.

Lindsey Graham is out of his field of expertise, here. He is also careful and sane in areas that he knows. So, why not tell him to support legislation, with amendments you can support?

It’s becoming clear how Congress works and it’s not for the American people. What does “Congress needs a win” even mean? Sticking it to the American people with high energy taxes, that’s somehow a win — Now that the hoax of AGW has been exposed, it sure isn’t a win.

When we are sitting on the world’s largest fossil fuel reserves, why not work on energy independence. Look at all the high paying jobs could be had in the USA with nothing more than ‘drill baby drill’ energy policies.

    Valerie,

excellent ideas, ones one would presume our so called
intelligent representatives would have thought of..

however, the basic goal is not “green” per se..

albeit literally has little to do with CC, it’s a wonderful
way to clean up our polluted planet, but i digress..

the goal behind the GW scam is a New World Order.. GW aka:
CC is being used as the catalyst, or should i say catapult..

to get this right, they need to separate CC from Pollution, one
is natural, the other is man made & has a minute affect on CC..

iow: CC can be (and i highly suspect it always has been) devastating.. but it’s something mere humans cannot control, that is an undeniable fact & they know that (if they don’t, they haven’t got a brain).. ergo, what these strawmen are doing is manipulating the natural CC data & using it to control humans..

it’s a (fitb) shame, that so much time, money & effort has not only been spent trying to pull the wool over our eyes, but turn People into sheeple (so to speak) vs advancing methods for controlling Pollution..

we’re supposed to be an advanced civilization, yet the very fact that humans are literally starving to death as i type is utterly is beyond me.. bottom line: if they don’t stop with their agenda, turn it around, do the right thing & confront the real problem, all humans may very likely be starved to death en mass up the road..

wel.. all but the elitists who’s aim it is is
to control us anyways.. that reminds me..

    truth sarc on/

anyone know if tonight is a party night at the WH??

    wonder what they’ll be serving??

Thanks for the rebuttal of Valarie’s “innocent” comment. She is either naive or she is pulling on our chains, neither of which is a good thing.

However, if she is indeed naive, we had best tell her the “CC” means “climate change” and “GW” means “global warming.”

Good Grief Graham. They need to remove this menace. That’s it, continue to perpetuate a lie, because Congress needs a win. Is he nuts? There are several departments that need to have funding cut off of, EPA and the Department of Education being the first.

bg #40 re Brown as above if he is hiring Kennedy staffers… and did not Zero say Brown’s election was a vote for him or to that effect. We will see when B votes in the Senate.

gadfly #52, I am sure Valerie is neither naive nor dumb.

Fascinating interview at wtd’s link #31.

“Vijay Kumar” — scroll down for his interview with Frontpage: “Why I Left the Left”

You won’t be disappointed. He clearly sees the real threat to our nation and all freedom-loving people. I hope many more hear what he has to say.

    Thanks for posting that.

Hey, Graham! A win for Congress against the American people is no win at all. How ’bout a win for the American people? When Congress does what Americans want, Congress wins. Or, bringing it closer to home for you, whe Congresscritters do what Americans don’t want, they lose reelection. Savvy?

My DOG could do a better job. Train her to snarl and spaz at anything the Democrats suggest, slam a paw down on the YEA button for any pro-conservative vote and since she’s a dog, she can’t understand a word anyone is saying beyond that – so any Lefty attempts to bribe or soothing duplicitous sweet talk will be met with canine incomprehension, tipped head, raised ears, “What the hell are you blabb-blabbing about?”

Hey, Graham! HOW hard IS it?

Oh, yes. She’s half Australian cowdog and half black labrador. She’s half herder and half retriever, so she’s naturally disposed to snapping at the heels of any wayward wandering RINO trying to “reach across the aisle” and the other half is disposed to fetching them back if they try.

How hard is it for REPUBICANS who are supposed to be SMARTER to be as loyal to their constituents as a dog would be?

So Lindsey Graham is a lifelong batchelor. Anyone find that curious? One has to wonder what information would make Graham compromise his principles to side with the Demonrats.

Graham doesn’t stand for re-election again until 2014. It’s way too early for anyone to be talking about a primary challenge. However, there will be several challengers on the R side when the time approaches.
