Heathrow Airport employees copied and distributed nake scanner pictures of Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan this week.

The pictures were supposed to be immediately destroyed after passengers proceed through the gate.
Prison Planet reported:

Claims on behalf of authorities that naked body scanner images are immediately destroyed after passengers pass through new x-ray backscatter devices have been proven fraudulent after it was revealed that naked images of Indian film star Shahrukh Khan were printed out and circulated by airport staff at Heathrow in London.

UK Transport Secretary Lord Adonis said last week that the images produced by the scanners were deleted “immediately” and airport staff carrying out the procedure are fully trained and supervised.

“It is very important to stress that the images which are captured by body scanners are immediately deleted after the passenger has gone through the body scanner,” Adonis told the London Evening Standard.

Adonis was forced to address privacy concerns following reports that the images produced by the scanners broke child pornography laws in the UK. When the scanners were first introduced, it was also speculated that images of famous people would be ripe for abuse as the pictures produced by the devices make genitals “eerily visible” according to journalists who have investigated trials of the technology.

But, of course, *OUR* TSA security people are so highly-trained and scrupulously honest that something like that would N-E-V-E-R happen here. /sarc/ (of course)

Can anybody see another shot to the airline industry from this?

Interesting article, but if I were you, I’d hesitate to link to anything from Prison Planet, even hard news stories. Alex Jones is an unhinged lunatic (as you may already know), and his websites, while occasionally good for a laugh–at him, and not with him–give space to ridiculous conspiratorial speculation on everything under the sun, some of which has been quite openly antisemitic.

Just a thought. And don’t take it the wrong way. I’m certainly a fan of your blog!

Come on. People are supposed to go through a scanner and have naked pictures taken of themselves…..for security reasons? If this doesn’t sound insane to people, then I must have lost my mind back a couple decades ago. And yah, I trust airport staff – give us all a break,…..’cause airport staff have such high regards for integrity. Mind-boggling.

Another example of gov’t telling us one thing about how they’re going to go to EVERY length to protect your privacy and then doing the exact opposite.

Image what’s going to happen once the gov’t gets hold of all, and I mean ALL, of your medical records if Obamacare passes… just so all your records will be handy in case an emergency arises, mind you.

And in NO WAY will any unauthorized persons EVER lay eyes on anybody’s medical records… no matter what!

I tell nubile young women to strip down in front of me all the time.

    For security.

Oddly enough? Doesn’t work, In fact, based on the condition of my left cheek, I feel LESS safe after such a proposition.

“Is the UK Transport Secretary’s name really Lord Adonis?”

I googled him, since I assumed that name had to be fake. But yes, there is someone named Lord Adonis.

I wonder if he is married to Lady Venus?

We were delayed thru London a few years back, because of a strike at British Airways. Anyone remember that? It affected all BA flights worldwide. Anyway, it was peculiar because the strike was actually against the private catering company that had the BA contract to provide the airline meals. Most of the women who worked at the catering company were Indian – Sikh, to be exact. They struck and then the male Sikhs at British Airways BAGGAGE also struck in solidarity, even though hapless BA wasn’t the source of the complaint.

When we finally flew, it was with no meals on international flights, but baggage was finally moving. Quick way to discover how many Indians work at BA London airport services.

So, not at all surprised to hear this. Khan is a Muslim movie superstar in India. Fast way to pressure an outraged shut down of the scanners, though.

Use trained dogs to guard airports and travelers.

Eliminate funding special interests, wasting excessive money to install their high tech scanners that are not only invasive but are harmful to health using radiation, and ultimately lag behind new terrorism techniques.

Utilize the trained dogs backed by police.

    And where does it happen?

    In the UK.

    Where else?

When I’m flying overseas, I’m avoiding the UK like hell. Even if it’s just for short stops while changing planes. I rather fly via France.

    …And I really don’t like France.

And, of course, the scanners are totally for the rats. They won’t stop jihadis.

Funny how Tel Aviv is the most secure airport in the world without such scanners, or any of the other crap our governments try shoving down our throats. Seems the Jews got it right, while the rest seems to be handled by drooling idiots.

“A BAA spokeswoman said the claims were “completely factually incorrect” because the body-scanning equipment had no capability to print images. She stressed that images captured by the equipment could not be stored or distributed in any form.”
