Andrew Breitbart raised the roof at the National Tea Party Convention this morning in Nashville, Tennessee. Speaking to the dozens of reporters assembled in the back of the room, Andrew said this:
“It’s not your business model that sucks, it’s you that sucks.”
Andrew finished his speech with this warning to the media:
“If you don’t start reporting the truth I will organize a protest in New York City on Madison Avenue and you won’t be able to escape to the Hamptons for the weekend.”

Thanks to NewsBusters for transcribing:
When I watched Contessa Brewer on MSNBC raise the question whether or not a protest was racist in which she showed a man have his gun around his chest and his holster. MSNBC did an entire discussion on are these protests, these gun-wielding freaks, are they racist. Does everybody here know what happened with that photo where they cut the head off? That was an African-American gentleman. That my friends is not media bias. That is contempt for the American people.
In order to create the perception that the minority is the majority and the majority is not just the minority, but a bad, racist, homophobic, all those buzzwords that they learned in the freshman orientation class at Wesleyan, are used as weapons to try to destroy you and intimidate you to not speak up and to speak your mind. And your days of doing this are over. It’s not your business model that sucks, it’s you that sucks.

As a democrat/independent I never believed any of my conservative friend’s views that the MSM is nothing but a shill for the democrat-now-liberal/socialist party.
After what I saw in 2008, 2009 and continue to see now. I stand correct and humbly apologize to all conservatives.
ABS, cBS, MSN-BS, nBS, NYT-BS. Nothing but disgusting liberal, statist shills. I will never trust one word these a$$holes say anymore.
I have cancelled pretty much all these “news” stations from my satellite dish and cancelled Wash Post as well as Weak-News.
Don’t care what propoganda BS they spew, don’t care, no longer interested. The blinders are completely off from even democrats/independents like me.

Militant,
You might find out you have a lot in common with the people of NYC who make the city run.
Not the people who run their mouths but the people who work hard and keep the city going.
Just for informational purposes, we are the majority and the liberals live from our good graces.

At least ya finally saw the light, disgusted.
The thing with the media is it they prey on those who are not as informed politically and skew the news to their views to influence as we saw with the election of Obama vs. Sarah Palin/McCain. It is frustrating that there’s nary a speck of independent, non-biased media (FNC is about the only one that come close) who don’t blow smoke up your ass when it comes to giving the viewers information.

Welcome home to the truth. It is ugly with warts and bad breath but this is the truth. Now you can make decisions based on fact. congratulations!
I found the visiting New Yorkers very fun to be around. This is why Texans and New Yorkers rib each other so much. We are both outspoken. I only wish New Yorkers could enjoy the freedom I do of strapping on my firearm every day.
We may come to blows now and again but they are family. When 9/11 happened I was incensed and still am to this day. NO ONE COMES IN MY HOUSE AND KILLS MY COUNTRYMEN.

For the media, maybe they will finally get it.
The TEA party Patriots, who are we? For the most part we are AMERICANS born and bred in the basin of Freedom. We ARE the silent majority. We believe in life, liberty and the pursuit (not the guarantee) of happiness. We believe in Personal responsibility, Individual Liberty, Small Government, Freedom to choose the cause our charitable contributions go to and above all we believe in FREEDOM!! We ARE our Constitution. We ARE our Bill of Rights. We ARE the declaration of Independence. We believe our freedom comes from God or at birth not the Government. There are no sinister motives, no hate for a person, just love for our founding principles. Free Will and Free Thought are our gifts from God. Individual Liberty, Personal Responsibility and Freedom are their natural descendants.

Breitbart is saying what many of us have known for years: Most of the media are liars.
What amazes me is that many people in the blogosphere and on AM radio still believe they can shame the MSM into balanced reporting. It’s not going to happen, folks. Hold these liars up to ridicule, but don’t honor them by treating journalism as a sacred duty.
The mechanics of journalism are not rocket science. Most journalists spend most of their time in college getting their heads filled with left-wing mush. And the worthless results of this indoctrination can be seen in the newspapers and on TV every day.

They are in for a rude awaking in the spring. I’m from CT and believe me people are always asking when the first 2010 TEA Party will be. People like my extreme dem sisters, brother and all but one inlaws. I was them until around 9/12/01. Come April 2010 and throughout the summer and fall the world will see the silent majority at full throttle. And the free world will celebrate America coming back to her senses. Our freedom is what keeps them alive.

The media in this country has violated the privelege of freedom of the press by turning the phrase “journaistic integrity” into an oxymoron. A bias news media is a corrupt news media. They became an appendage to the Obama campaign during 2008 shielding him from any bad information the electorate might have used to make a more informed voting decision. They not only suck, they are scumbags of the highest order and deserve all of the economic hardship outlets like the NYT, the Washington and others are experiencing. The best thing that could happen for America is if they all went out of business. They have become co-conspirators along with the Obama administration and Democrat controlled Congress in destroying the values that made us a great nation.

Of course you are. Unfortunately LIBTARDS aren’t honest about their biases.

In CA. huge numbers of folks show up at Tea Party rallies, or any anti big govt event. I don’t feel so alone anymore. The media even local refuses to cover this unrest of We the People. Remember any anti-war group was given air time didn’t matter if only ten commies showed up, they would spin it to be a large group. With their sinking ratings the old media still doesn’t get it.
February 6th, 2010 | 1:17 pm | #41
No one should have to say who they voted for, that’s why I believe in secret ballots. Congress represents the people that is why their votes should be known. Ok so you are right gus the newspaper is suppose to be OUR watch dogs of the government so they to should have to say how they vote. Lose one right for another. The right to respresent us and the special rights the news media receives to inform us. Just be honest and do your job, that’s all I want.

Breitbart, along with the Tea Party organizers and the Tea Party founders, is a true America hero.
Something I noticed about Breitbart is that, similar to libtards, he has no problem protesting, disagreeing and telling it the way he sees it. Yet, unlike libtards, he’s not an angry person. He’s funny and comes across as being a very nice, thoughtful person. This is true of every person that I’ve heard speaking on behalf of the Tea Partiers. These characteristics lend proof to the truths in Lenore’s comment #23.

Fwiw, I caught a few minutes of CNN a couple of nights ago, during which Cooper and some other CNN idiot were defining the Tea Party. They claimed that the definition came from the Tea Party itself, but I don’t think that’s true because I’ve never heard or read an official statement from the Tea Party in which it defines itself. The definition CNN gave was that the Tea Party is the extreme right, further right on all issues than the Republicans, including social issues. They threw out the terms “RINO” and “pro-life” and even showed a spectrum upon which they placed the Tea Party at the far right, with Republicans to the left of them. They then went on to say that the Tea Party has alienated Independents and Libertarians because they are so far right on social issues.
From what I understand, however, the Tea Party is on the extreme right on fiscal issues, that fiscal conservativism is what they’re all about, and they’ve not really made any statements regarding social issues.
So, it seems to me that the media has changed their strategy for dealing with the Tea Party. Instead of down-playing the size and influence of the Tea Party, they’re attempting draw Independents and Libertarians away from the movement by defining the Tea Party in a way that makes it unattractive to Independents and Libertarians. While they didn’t mention disenfranchised old school Democrats (members of the Democrat party as it was before being hijacked by sociaists aka progressives), I’ve no doubt that they are trying to draw them away from the Tea Party movement as well.
If anyone is listening, it’s time for the Tea Party to define itself, whether that affirms what CNN is saying to be true or not. Otherwise, the lamestream media will define the movement (they’re already trying to) and whatever their definition is, it will stick.
February 6th, 2010 | 4:51 pm | #62
The Media will do whatever it wants. Fewer and fewer are listening to them. Their strategy is desperate and less effective each day. More and more people are seeing them for what they are. Andrew is leading the charge in defining them!! Go Andrew!!

It was the desire of our founders to have a government that was designed to be effective only in the areas of National Defense, Interstate relationships and Foreign Nation matters and was kept from easily influencing and affecting the lives of the individual citizen. The founders worked their jobs, minded their homes and families… and got together to argue about their own government (which was of the people, by the people, for the people..) because it was a duty… not an occupation or a career… a duty. We now have a Government that relishes and delights in the fact that it is supposed to be ineffective… and looks at ways to expand and capitalize on that ineffectiveness and rhetoric. Government should not be a business. It doesn’t create a profit. It is a necessary evil that needs to be led by individuals (who identify themselves as public service-minded individual with clear objectives that are concrete) with better uses for their time than to spend billions of dollars making points of conjecture and arguing their individual points of view. Find successful business leaders who can get the budget balanced and help lead Americans into actively being involved with local government and their communities.
