Today, Barack Obama warned Americans:

“We simply cannot continue to spend as if deficits don’t have consequences. As if waste doesn’t matter. As if the hard earned tax dollars of the American people can be treated like Monopoly money.

This, of course, was the same day he proposed another record spending bill that will cost taxpayers $3.8 trillion and will raise the national deficit to $1.6 trillion. This is nearly 4 times the 2008 national deficit when President Bush was in office.

But today wasn’t the first time Obama used this line.
On December 21, 2009 he said the same thing:

“We can’t continue to spend as if deficits don’t have consequences; as if waste doesn’t matter; as if the hard-earned tax dollars of the American people can be treated like Monopoly money.”

This was the same day that democrats spent $1.2 billion to bribe fellow democrats to vote for Obamacare.
Figures.

But haven’t the Dems controlled Congress since 2006? And wasn’t Obama voting for every reckless spending bill while in the Senate? How exactly does he get to blame anyone but himself?

    Peter, I am with you.
    Only God can save us;
may He have mercy on us.

Obama is drunk on stimulus money. He needs a detox, but nobody in the Democrat majority in Washington is willing to do the intervention.

Going waaay back to college, when I first heard about cognitive dissonance, I was told that a person holding two different, mutually exclusive ideas would experience a kind of “psychic distress”.

Our Dear Leader, however, shows no distress at all. Whatta GUY!!!

(Where can I get some of what he’s smoking? MY “psychic distress” levels are going through the roof…)

I have often wondered how the US can legally run a budget deficit because it is fundamentally taxation without representation. When the government borrows money with the promise to repay it later, it is basically taxing the future with spending now. Many of those who will be taxed in the future to repay that debt are not yet eligible to vote. They have no say in their representation yet will be taxed to repay money that was spent maybe before they were even born.

What is the legal authority in the constitution for taxing people in advance who are not yet eligible to vote?

If they got a (D) next to their name on the November ballot vote them out.

If you aren’t happy with the incumbent (R), find out when your primary for 2010 is and vote for another (R)

We turn over 100 seats in the house, and 10 in the Senate…….and then follow through again in 2012 they will figure out that deficits are poisonous to their political futures.

    0bama:

Let me be clear, the Taxpayers simply cannot continue to spend as if deficits don’t have consequences. If they do then my tax increase will not be paid. I’ll then have to bust the budget and encumber all of their children and grand children with a mountain of debt.

Sure, my tax and spend policies have keeps my cronies rich and my democrat welfare riders feeding at the government trough. But we, being defined as the Tax Payer, cannot continue to spend if bloated budgets are to be paid. If I continue to spend the dollar will fall and interest rates will rise. The US currency will become Monopoly Money – over which I will have a monopoly.

Some people may call me a liar and a thief. Some people may call me a con-artists and a race baiting swindler. It’s fine with me – as long as I don’t get caught and frog marched out of Office.

My Limousine is running and I have to make a quick trip to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. That’s where I will exchange my old 5 dollar bills for new 100 dollar bills on a one-to-one basis. Yes, there will be a few duplicated serial numbers but what is the big deal? I am the President so I should get as much cash as I need to buy my Maui Gold and cocaine to help Barney Frank and I through another rectum busting day. I must be off to the Money Factory. Good day.

He doesn’t say this sort of thing EVER off the cuff. He is softening the public, one sound-bite at a time to LOSE CONFIDENCE in the dollar.

The huge deficits being jacked up undermine the DOLLAR. Undermine the American currency.

Start noting down how many references to “weakening dollar” are already in the media and how many more we’ll hear in the days and weeks ahead. The media is rife with comments from other countries looking to divest off the dollar. The Democratic Party-controlled US leadership could announce it today, “No more dollar,” but Americans would be furious, so it’s death by a thousand cuts, ten massive deficit programs, and a droning demoralizing in the media to wear Americans down to accept they have no choice but to abandon the dollar.

TOTALLY artificial, deliberate and absolutely despicable.

There is something definitely wacko about Obama; I mean who says this and then spends huge sums of monies America doesn’t have to spend. What, is he nuts! Does he actually think people don’t know about his spending? Nutjob!
