Figures.
Earlier today White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs mocked Sarah Palin by jotting a few notes on his hand prior to his meeting with the press.
Via BreitbartTV
This was right after Barack Obama surprised the journalists by showing up at the press conference where he called for an end of petty politics.
The AP reported:
Appealing for bipartisanship in a town where it’s lacking, President Obama sat down with Democrats and Republicans Tuesday to spur cooperation on job creation, deficit reduction and health care overhaul. He promised to do his part — but warned he would take Republicans to task if they don’t do the same.
“The people who sent us here expect a seriousness of purpose that transcends petty politics,” Obama said afterward, making a surprise appearance in the White House briefing room.
He started his remarks to reporters by engaging in a bit of wishful thinking: joking about Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid and Republican leader Mitch McConnell “out doing snow angels together on the South Lawn.”
But the friendly rhetoric quickly gave way to tougher talk.
“We can’t afford grandstanding at the expense of actually getting something done,” Obama said. “What I won’t consider is doing nothing.”
Obama ticked off several areas where he said cooperation should be easy. But most of the ideas on which he called for bipartisanship were ones he favors, whether it was job creation (money for infrastructure repairs, small business tax cuts and lending, tax breaks for energy efficiency improvements), health care (extending coverage and making it more affordable) or deficit cutting (a bipartisan commission).
Of course, this surprises no one.
More… This is also the same day that a top White House official wrote that Obama critics are serving Al-Qaeda.

I’ll bet, on Karaoke Night, BO always sings that Frank Sinatra song – “Do It My Way.”
He’s as transparent as ever now.

So, Glibs jotted notes on his hand, huh? As hard as it is for me to do, I’ll not make any jokes about the smeared ink on his boss’s…oops!…Instead, I’ll just note that his little stunt backfired. The joke’s not on Palin; it’s on the current administration and how “that dumb soccer mom from Alaska” has gotten under their skin.
Go, Sarah!

Ditto, and I would add.. these juveniles are masquerading as our “leaders and betters”? No, all they have is power, for the time being, because too few were really engaged and went for the hype. I can’t wait for November!

Keep those attacks on a private citizen coming, guys. They will be one of the main ingredients of your downfall.
Downfall…someone much more creative than me needs to start thinking about the story line for the next YouTube vid featuring the obliteration of the O-loser administration starring Sarah Palin.

oh this has got to be the most hypocritical statement (not
that any of them haven’t been) anyone has made so far..
Michelle Obama re: Health Care..
says her husband Barack Obama:
“is staying the course; that’s what leadership is”..
excuse me??
Bush got attacked by the Dems et al day in & day out for staying
the course & not abandoning Operation Iraqi Freedom.. hello??
Obama is displaying “leadership”??
pushing a health care package that “we the people”
do not want down our throats, that’s leadership??
this insanity cannot go on for 3 more years,
how can we stop it now before it’s too late..
pray someone steps up to the plate & fully
exposes Obama for what he is, i sure do..

What a petty and unprofessional display. Gibbs is a complete joke, which is why he is perfect for this administration.

Oh, finally watched the clip of OBAMA muddling up ‘corpsman’ with ‘corpse-man.’ This from a Harvard graduate, no less.
Now, many people know that ‘corps’ is French-derived. Many people also noticed Obama bungled the corpsman’s name, saying ‘Christian,’ then ‘Christopher,’ so who knows who he is? and pronounced the man’s last name, Brossard as ‘Brochard.’ The French would normally pronounce it, “Bro-ssar.”
Obama recounted that a Haitian woman asked the corpsman his country and he replied, According to Obama the corpsman replied, “En-tanini.”
But the accompanying write-up spelled, “”Etanini.”
Huh? Not the French “Etats-Unis?”
which when pronounced correctly sounds
like “ay-ta-zu-nee.”
HOW many bungles in ONE paragraph? Bet Obama doesn’t even LOOK ONCE at his little speeches before he gives them, and his writers are lazy.
But the scandal’s that Palin’s got notes on her palm to keep from that sort of gaffee.
Uh huh.

His boss needs a teleprompter to speak to a class of 6th graders. ‘Nuff said.
February 9th, 2010 | 3:31 pm | #25
It’s official, the White House is being run by a bunch of children! The coverage of Sarah Palin reminds me of petty school children poking fun of someone for having zits!
Maybe they will be a little more serious after this November when the equivalent of the dog ate my homework excuse of it’s all Bush’s fault wears thin on everyone as it has me.
I have worked my butt off for Ed Martin to unseat Russ Carnahan and believe me this kind of petty garbage only makes my resolve that much stronger.
February 9th, 2010 | 3:32 pm | #26
obama needs a telepromptor set up in a 6th grade class so he can be fed the answers, and we are supposed to take anything obama or his minions say seriously. obama is the worst president in american history.

wanumba: Thanks for the French pronunciation corrections! He heard corpseman at Havard and didn’t get that it was a dis of the military left over from the Viet Nam War. My fave memory was Obama’s complaint – in France – of fellow Americans who don’t learn a second language and all they can day when they go abroad is Bonjour! Hear any French dissing their country when they travel? Cause toujours, s*****!
Est-il faible? Oui!

No one but you caught the rest of those mispronunciations because no one else but you can pronounce them, either. LOL! It’s true, at least for me, anyway. So, how does it feel to be smarter than that intellectual, genius Harvard grad in the WH? Oh, wait, even I can answer that one. LOL!

We won’t be laughing once they’ve completed the destruction of the economy, tho.
February 9th, 2010 | 4:18 pm | #38
Let me see if I have this right. Palin writes a few notes on her hand and she is made to be an idiot. Obama addresses a 6th grade class with 2 teleprompter’s and he is made out to be the smartest man in government. Exactly how does that work?

I can’t remember any Administration going after private citizens and calling out names to mock. I can remember back to Truman and this WH is so thin skinned and ignorant that it shames the very office of POTUS.
February 9th, 2010 | 4:40 pm | #43
Gibbs just stepped in it again. On the day Obama makes big pretensions about getting beyond petty politics, Gibbs pulls this stunt. Obama would fire him but Rachel Maddows still under contract with the farm team MSNBC.
February 9th, 2010 | 4:55 pm | #44
Exactly how are the American people suppose to feel safe and secure under this administration? Their childish games, antics and name calling are truly scary. It’s like the lunatics are running the asylum…scary, very scary.
February 9th, 2010 | 5:19 pm | #45
Well, since no one else will – I am going to stand up for Gibbs. There is no way that guy knows how to write. Someone set him up.
Gibbs press briefing:
Hey, everybody! We’re the cool kids! My boss is cool. I am cool. That nominee is so cool. Those other kids are not cool. That question is not cool. Those Republicans are not cool. The Tea Parties are so un-cool – and stupid. Polls are not cool (anymore). Okay, time for recess. Don’t play with the un-cool kids or you can’t come back.
If anyone gets any more information out of them, I apologize.

February 9th, 2010 | 6:25 pm | #55
I can’t ever recall a WhiteHouse spokesman trying to make themselves look good by making fun of another US Citizen. Aren’t “they” the ones in power? Then why lower yourself by making fun of a regular citizen? What’s the matter Gibbs? Afraid of a girl?
February 9th, 2010 | 6:34 pm | #56
Gibbs is an embarrassment to the human race.
I’ve never seen a Press Secretary giggle and laugh so much even when it’s a serious subject.
He goes out there and mocks people, thinking he’s funny but he only proves what a jackass he truely is.
And, it irks me to no end when that putz who temporarily occupies the WH threatens anybody who doesn’t agree with him.
February 9th, 2010 | 6:43 pm | #57
#30 Obama is so obtuse he doesn’t know that most Americans never go abroad…Learning a foreign language is in large part a waste of time given that English is the international language of Governments, Business, and even International Air Traffic Control…I educated many Germans during my stint there in the military…When they realize that the US is 3000 kilometers coast to coast and that few Americans travel abroad, they get it…In Europe, by contrast, four hours driving can cross several countries who all speak different languages…Obama is an uncouth buffoon…

While most people in America are worried about Jobs, the economy, paying the electric bill, etc… the President and his administration are playing sophmoric games for the benefit of the media. Sarah Palin has really gotten under their skin.
February 9th, 2010 | 7:42 pm | #64
G-d never used a teleprompter, but He did do this: “Yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;” Isaiah 49:16 (and for you Latter Day Saints, 1 Nephi 21:16). So Palin’s crib notes have a Biblical precedent. Even unintentionally, the left mocks G-d. No wonder their super-majority in Congress is dying off.

Newton, #65, I think that was Monica Crowley. Gibbs really is no class. I cannot imagine Tony Snow, God rest his soul, or Dana Perrino EVER behaving like a 3 year old.
I KEEP TELLING YOU ALL!!! They are just like Chris Wallace said, they are the biggest bunch of crybabies he’s ever seen in Washington! They are 3 year olds.
Pitiful displays of childish behavior.

Big, big, big story that the highest eschelons of power mock a private citizen who doesn’t even hold any office. This is extremely irresponsible and unworthy of the office of the president.
Yet, for this bunch it is apt and fitting.
Sarah is in their head.
And yet another example of our traitorous press serving the power, by not highlighting this political immaturity.
The press serves the power. They are unworthy of respect.

This isn’t The White House its Animal House. Gibbs is about as funny as a brick through your window. This is an attack against women, against the Tea Partiers and against all disaffected voters. Even the media in attendance was a bit taken about by Rodney Dangerfield Gibb’s dumb act.
If the White House was successful they might blow all this off but when you’re failing your sensitivity level to even the smallest slight takes on gargantuan proportions.

It is truly sad that our President would choose such a miserable and wretched man to serve as his front man, but it is particularly telling that he has managed to keep his job this long. Some call it arrogance, some call it defying logic, and others call it sticking it to the Right that can’t stand him. I call it priceless. I love that this pathetic excuse for a Press Secretary is the focal point of all news generated by this White House. I hope he holds on firmly to that job all the way to 2012…
