Your taxpayer dollars at work…
The Obama Administration blew $2.5 million on a Superbowl Census commercial tonight.

It’s not even a good ad. But, who cares? It’s not their money.

Sean Hannity reported on the Super Bowl ad last week:

The U.S. Census Bureau is dishing out $2.5 million to pay for a 30-second commercial this Sunday. But that is just a small part of the census ad campaign. Now according to the USA Today when it’s all said and done, they would have blown $340 million on their efforts to encourage people to cooperate with the census.

Since this is pretty much a public service ad, wouldn’t it have been free to air at any other time?

When you can print all the money you want, you don’t worry about how much something costs.
I’m glad that ACORN is no longer in charge of the census, that would have been as corrupt as the whitehouse.

To top off the wasted money for a SB add it was a complete waste. It was a joke. It didnt make any sense, was not informational, funny, clever or useful. Im sure the braintrusts in charge of this one paid a fortune to write and produce this ridiculous waste of money. They would have been more effective if they had shown an average citizen watching them flush 2 million bucks down the toilet with a voiceover saying dont waste your time and money filling out a census.. We have that covered and will make up the numbers anyway.. Illegals are welcome too yeahhh !!!!! Oh and by the way if youre a liberal fill it out twice and help us waste more money in your district. Someone should be fired. The stupidity knows no limits in DC.

We all know this is a little kickback to CBS, for all their fine support for the Democratic Party.

And we also know, this is a little help to some very big Democrats who made a career in Hollywood, some born into it via successful parents.

The entire thing is a joke…

Why didn’t TEAM OBAMA ask CBS to sacrifice for the public good, and run the spot for free?

Why bother running this spot on the Superbowl anyhow?

THE corrupt DNC Titanic sinking us all.

    Delve a wee bit deeper,
Ask yourself WHY the censusd is so important to Obama. Ask yourself WHY Obama wanted to take the Census from the Commerce department and ask yourself why Judd Gregg turned down the Commerce Sec.
Then ask yourself WHAT does the census do to support Conservative ideals?
The CENSUS is being managed as a tool to redistribute YOUR MONEY to LIBTARD constituencies

The ad itself wasn’t all that bad – but it didn’t explain *anything at all* about the census, about what it’s for and why it’s important. Nothing!

    A complete waste of $2.5million.

Meh. What the hell. It’s only money.
And besides, after taxes, $2.5million really isn’t a *lot* of money. (/sarc/)

Unfortunately, this is a small part of a larger (wasted) media buy. I hear these ads on the radio every day “Paid for by the US Census Bureau”, that is to say, you and me! I see them on TV nearlyl every day, too.
    What a waste!

The advertising contract was awarded for the 2010 Census in 2008 — during the Bush Administration. The census advertising budget was established during the Bush Administration. This ad would have appeared even if McCain was elected. So how is this a Team Obama thing?
