In the same press conference White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs mocked Sarah Palin and the tea party movement.

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs reads the words ‘Eggs, Milk, Bread (crossed out), Hope, and Change’ written in marker on his hand as he briefs reporters after President Barack Obama made an unannounced visit to the James Brady Briefing Room at the White House in Washington, Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010. Former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin has been seen with hand written notes on her hands in recent public appearances. (AP Photo/Charles Dharapak)

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs mocked the Tea Party movement during his press conference today. This was on the same day that President Obama called for an end to petty politics.
Check out his facial expressions–

From the video:

Question: How closely did the White House monitor the tea party convention this weekend? Do you have any reaction to it?

Robert Gibbs: I didn’t watch it at all. (smile)

Question: Do you see the tea party movement as a real political force this year?

Robert Gibbs: Look it seems to be a very successful private enterprise. I would say that there appear to be fewer speech makers that are unemployed in this economy than what might have previously been reported.

This sort of crap no longer angers me. In fact I smile every time it happens. The so called “wizards of smart” have absolutely NO idea that everytime they do this they are putting a nail in their own coffins.

Good news folks…..Chicago street thug politics doesn’t scale to a national level in this country. Thank goodness. Damn that FOX News.

With approval of the Tea Party rising among independents, and with Obama’s approval cratering among independents, you’d think they’d have put 2 and 2 together… attacking the Tea Party makes independents like the Tea Party and hate Obama. Well, the longer it takes them to figure it out, the better it will be for our country.

Folks, don’t declare victory and stay home on April 15th. Get to your nearest tea party. They may be down, but they aren’t out. We got 11 months before these guys in congress are gone. A lot of damage can be done in that time.

On April 15th make sure they see you in the street. Keep them in check.

yep, i’m an independent and i hate obama. i like the tea party so much that i went and joined it. i went to the meeting two weeks ago and amazingly enough, i met many dems and independents there as well as conservatives. one dem, a univeristy professor went off on the economic policies of the obama administration. many people are sick and tired of obama and that’s why the movement is growing.

Gibbs speaks for the President of the United States. This is how the President treats a citizen of this country? Pathetic! Every “tea party” attendee should write on their hand and hold it up for the President to see.

    Gibbs:
You funny little nothing of a man. Smile away, sir, as you will be nothing but a paper boy after this administration is kicked out of office.

Not watching the tea parties. Come on. You had it on five screens in the White House and you just kept screaming, “Idiots!”.

Keep screaming that, you moronic turd.
    Your days are numbered.

Thank you Kathie. I have long suspected that Gibbs is exactly where the President wants him in the administration. In addition, Gibbs has the exact 5th grade smart ass personality Obama wants in a press secretary. For the longest time I have wondered why even Obama would choose such a clown. With your post it just dawned on me, this is Obama’s way of attacking his enemies without getting his hands dirty. Any backlash is aimed at Gibbs not the “annointed one”. Probably right out of Richard Daley’s political handbook for beginners.

They need to ask that “fool” a serious question like where Obama’s birth certificate is?

Obama, gibb’s, Rahm (the ballerina), barney frank, and anderson cooper (360) are the true “teabaggers” the one Rachael Maddow talks about on her show.

The “teaparty” is irrelevant to me, as long as they don’t touch the “birth certificate” issue, they are worthless to me.

If the teaparty start’s bringing up the “birth certificate” , lets see if Gibbs and Obama still think they are a trivial movement.

Ha, Gibbs and his boss have no clue what drives this country.

Why would I hire one more person, with the benefit of $5000.00 tax credit after doing my taxes April 2011 or later, –some economic recovery!!! And people did not hire me, because of the catch 22 question, –when will we know if we have money at the end of our pay checks??

Robert Gibbs regularly brings to mind a crack by John D. MacDonald’s Travis McGee, who once described someone as inspiring in most men “The warm sweet urge to smack him in the mouth.”

These Tea Party people are just disaffected voters. Voters, Obama and the Dems will need to win in November. The more they attack the stronger the resolve to vote them out.

Robert Gibbs has a job, but this government is horrendously stupid. The Bozo gang will ask Congress to (p)ass $80 Billion to buy votes from their unemployed lackeys. These Tea Party people are scared of becoming slaves to these Bozo jet-set flying criminals. Bozo wants to destroy the Republicans — his current ploy is to call for bipartisanship — in which he is a lair once again, and wants the health-care bill to force all Americans to pay for the system because the government never had any monies of their own — it is always the poor people’s monies. Bozo is not interested in creating jobs, he wants to buy off his voters so they can sit down on their asses!

Go on, Press Secretary Snarkboy. Make fun of angry voters. Hell, call them cockroaches and then giggle at your own puerile joke at the next press conference. Really, you can wait for the last week before November 2010 and start sweet-talking the very people you’ll have spent the previous two years spitting on and giggling at, and Democrats will hold the House and Senate. Hell, they may even pick up seats, because voters LOVE corrupt pols who have grown old and Botox-infested in office and who hold their constituents in roaring contempt. Really, Gibbs. Try it and see.

It just amazes me the disconnect between the government and the people. The government continues to try to isolate and ridicule the tea partiers while more and more Americans realize, “Hey, smaller government, less taxes,” doesn’t sound all that ridiculous to me.
“A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned – this is the sum of good government.”

Why not ask Gibbs when was the last time the President, or his minions, listened to the American people? Obama is a democrat ruling the democrats and trying to nullify the rest of the country….he is not a President of the USA….too many times he has denounced large portions of this country….told us/them they do not count and will not be heard.

    Astroturf On Steroids

Apparently the largest union in the country, the government employees union (AFSCME), is very afraid of the substance and policy positions served up by the Palin/Tea Party movement because they are investing millions of dollars to, in one sense, covertly destroy its message and apparatus. What Tea Party advocates should find most interesting about this union funded agenda is that the unions are joined in their mission by none other than the Wall Street interests that President Obama has been demagoguing about of late: private equity and hedge funds. Go to the links in the Fox article and you will find contributions from one of the largest private equity funds in the US (TPG) contributing alongside the SEIU and NEA.

Why would the filthy capitalists be in bed with the unions in this movement? Could it be that they know the Tea Party has designs on the unhealthy relationship between big business and government (something a Republican named Eisenhower warned us about over fifty years)? Or is it that Sara Palin has a proven record of taking on big business while she was governor of Alaska? The answer is both.
