PACKED HOUSE——
They were expecting 600…… 1,800+ SHOWED UP TODAY!
UPDATE:—- New Count— 2,225 TURNED OUT TODAY!!

An overflow crowd turned out today at 9:45 AM to attend the “Kill the Bill” rally today in St. Charles, MO

Republican Lt. Governor Peter Kinder told the fired up crowd– “We have just begun to fight!”

Blogger ReBoot Congress was at the event today.
** The Anti-Obamacare Health Care Rally at St. Charles Convention Center (map, directions, parking) is on.

Jamie Alman from 97.1 is emcee today at this “Kill the Bill” rally!

The Wednesday Rally called by Rep. Todd Akin & GOP House Leader John Boehner is the federal-healthcare equivalent of “The Gunfight at the OK Corral” for Missouri!

We need ALL HANDS ON DECK, and ALL BOOTS on the Ground!! If you can take time off work, if you can leave your children or elderly parent with a sitter (or bring them)…if you can at all make this rally – DO IT!

This may be it! Pelosi is trying to bring this to the floor for a vote in the coming days…and is strong-arming all the moderate dems into voting for Obamacare Socialized Medicine – and Federally Funded Abortion. In a “nuclear option” procedure that was never intended for major social mandates, Nancy & Harry…and Leader Obama – clearly intend to disenfranchise well over half of the American People!

This is despite the fact they themselves condemned this same procedure a mere few years ago!

These people are FIRED UP!
Several Missouri politicians spoke out against the Obamacare bill at this public rally. President Obama is locking the public out of his staged rally later today across town in St. Charles.

I posed with Peter Kinder and blogger Michelle Moore before the event started up this morning.

Local patriot Jay Stewart is in the house.

1,800+ showed up to watch a live video feed from Washington DC. Rep. Todd Akin, Rep. Shadegg and Rep. Pence spoke to the crowd. Mike Pence told the crowd, “I believe America will take back the Congress in 2010.” (The crowd went nuts)

Todd Akin told the crowd this was the worst bill he’s seen since he’s been in Congress. And, of course, the Republican representatives pointed out Pelosi’s stunning admission from yesterday’s speech.

Bob McCarty has more on the rally today.

And, StL Cyclist sent this in this photo:

The crowd was ready to bury Obamacare.

UPDATE: Here’s Jamie Allman closing out the rally with “God Bless America.”
It was a powerful moment:

Typical mobsters.

The Second Protest planned by the St. Louis Tea Party Coalition is planned for 5:30 on Wednesday night downtown in St. Louis across from the Renaissance Grand hotel. We are meeting at 5:00 PM on 9th and Delmar. WEAR BLACK!

It is my understanding they want to attach student loan legislation to this bill.
It would be great if both failed.
Then Pelosis could read the bill and find out why it is a bad piece.

23 Yes Dems have switched to Undecided and Stupack is being pressured to vote yes by having his ethics investigated. Hoyer wants the House deadline extended because they don’t have the votes and the Byrd Amendment says that Abortion cannot be legislated through Reconciliation without 60 votes while 50 Pro-Abortion groups are lobbying Pelosi for stronger language in the bill. They need to loop the recent CBS Early Show co-host Harry Smith’s “LIVE! ON AIR!” colonoscopy with faux “Dr. Katie Couric” posing beside him in scrubs with a stethoscope draped around her neck in order to raise awareness of what Obamacare will do to every one of us…make it a “twofer”, show the one SHE had back in 2000 as an added bonus reminder…I wonder if they found Smith’s head during the procedure.

Harry Reid’s sneaky “Tea Party” candidate

[It seems the dems are up to their old tricks. They helped Ross Perot defeat G. W. H. Bush in 1991 and they helped split the 'Pub vote by voting for McCain in 2008. Reid thinks a stalking horse may help keep his senatorial seat in 2010. How? By running a dem masquerading as a Tea Partier.

    [..]

Nationally, the Tea Party movement has avoided party status and candidates. Except Nevada? You gotta believe the Reid campaign,
or some form thereof, is behind this tactic.

And frankly, it’s a brilliant tactic. If Reid can get the Tea Party name on the ballot, it will absolutely shift some votes away from the Republican candidate, who in a head-to-head matchup right now beats Reid hands down.

Look, Reid has more money than God for this race. But because almost everyone in Nevada has made up their minds about Reid, that money
isn’t going to move the needle for him much.

That money is going to be used primarily to move the needle away from his Republican opponent. After the primary, Reid will unleash a negative campaign the likes of which has never been seen in this state. And, if a few million dollars can also be used for sneaky campaign tricks like propping up phony campaigns or sponsoring faux news sites (paging Erin Neff, there’s an envelope for you at the front desk), well that’s just old-fashioned addition by subtraction.]

Tea Party candidate for Nev. Senate questioned
by tea party groups, GOP candidates

[GOP primary field leader Sue Lowden, a former Nevada Republican Party chairman who calls herself a Tea Party voter, also questioned Ashjian's tea party bona fides. "I don't know who this person is. He's
never been involved with anything that I'm aware of in this state,"
    she told CNN.

    [..]

Ashjian told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that his values are those of former president Ronald Reagan, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin and iconoclastic Texas Rep. Ron Paul (R). “We’re not Republican or Democrat,” Ashjian told the paper, which predicts his bid can only help Reid. “We won’t fold into one party or the other.”]

Jon Scott Ashjian, Harry Reid’s Tea Party Challenger,
Owes More Than $200,000 in Back Taxes

Voter registration tables should be set up at all of these events across the country. Protesting is great, so is calling, emailing, faxing and writing your senator and representative. But in the end, come November, it will be voter registration and GOTV that makes the difference.

    Dear Tea Party Candidate:
You Are Not Invited to OUR Tea Parties

[We, the grassroots/tea party leaders of Nevada, speaking for the conservative activists in our communities, are united in issuing the following statement.

    – We are united in denouncing the TPN (Tea Party of Nevada).

    – The TPN is not a conservative party who speaks
for grassroots and tea party activists in Nevada.

    – The TPN is not now, has never been, and will never
be affiliated with grassroots efforts in Nevada.

    – The term “Tea Party Candidate” will no longer be used
to indicate grassroots support for a candidate or candidates.

    – The TPN will not be invited to or allowed to represent themselves
at conservative grassroots events and functions across Nevada.

    – We are united in our desire for fiscal responsibility, transparency, and accountability from legislators and in legislation from Carson City, NV and Washington, D.C.

    – We are united in opposition of progressive leanings towards unfunded mandates as a solution to appeasing special interest and delivering ‘social justice’.

    – We are united in the belief that our government should be inspiring pride and accountability, and personal strength and opportunity, not a path for us to follow to have our needs met as the government sees fit.

    – We, the tea party activists and grassroots
    organizers in Nevada, are united.]

One interesting thing I just noticed is the pictures have a lot of black faces. These could have been staged tokens, but I doubt it, since St Louis has a lot of black residents. But it tends to put a lie to something the MSM pundits have been saying constantly, that the tea party is a mostly white movement.

    From the Desk of:
    Steve Elliott, Grassfire Nation

With American citizens completely focused on the upcoming ObamaCare vote, President Obama is quietly resuscitating his comprehensive immigration reform policies — namely
amnesty for nearly 11 million people living in the U.S. illegally.

According to the LA Times, Obama met privately with his staff on Monday looking to “advance a bill through Congressbefore lawmakers become too distracted by approaching midterm elections.”

Members of his Domestic Policy Council outlined ways to re-engage comprehensive immigration reform, and it is believed that Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Lindsay Graham (R-SC) have been asked to create a “blueprint” that could be turned into legislative language.

Several years ago, while speaking at a National Council of La Raza convention, then Senator Obama voiced hisunflinching support for those who marched in the streets demanding amnesty and all the rights and benefits granted to U.S. citizens.
“We need a practical solution for the problem of 12 million people who are here without documentation — many of whom have lived and worked here for years. That’s why we need to offer those who are willing to make amends a pathway to citizenship.”

From his mouth to our ears, Obama is revving up the amnesty bus for another run, and we need to quickly be prepared for what I believe will be a blitzkrieg rush to pass a plan.

+ + 55,000 New Petition Signers Needed ASAP

Obama is under intense pressure from amnesty
groups like La Raza MEChA (Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan) and others who intensely campaigned for his White House run. Failure to deliver on his campaign promises
could spark resentment from a politically potent Latino constituency should he decide to run again.

That’s why we need to quickly bolster our “No Amnesty” coalition of grassroots citizens.

I’m calling on all members of our team who have
already added their name to our petition to help
me rally and mobilize an additional 55,000
citizens within the next 10 days — pushing
    us to 200,000 citizen signers!

Forward this message to 25-30 friends right now
and urge them to stand with you against Obama’s
amnesty dash by signing our petition below:

    http://www.grassfire.net/r.asp?u=25931&PID=21177516

I expect we will have to move quickly delivering petitions in the days and weeks ahead, and we must have a substantial number if we hope to influence lawmakers!

Thanks in advance for your outstanding effort.

    Steve Elliott
    Grassfire Nation

P.S. Again, forward this message to 25-30 friends today urging them to stand with you against this latest push for amnesty by clicking below:
