The Democrats cannot do this. Sure, they may get the votes to pass the Senate bill tonight, but ultimately they will be defeated. A representative democracy cannot long endure a political class that is so out of touch with the populace. In some respects, what happens tonight is almost beside the point. The politics are set. Some Democrats are deluding themselves that they can put this behind them and somehow survive in November. They are most assuredly wrong…
And off a cliff is exactly where the Democrat party is going. In 1994, the party lost 54 seats in the House, losing control for the first time in 40 years. 54 seats is my opening bid for November 2010. They will lose that amount if ObamaCare somehow fails tonight. If it passes, their losses will be much worse in the House (hell, I’d take odds on a 100 seat loss) and they likely will lose the Senate as well. Worse for the parties future, they will be decimated in state house races, which is critical to the future of they party. The winners of these races will draw new legislative districts next year. A GOP rout in statehouses could doom the Democrats for a decade.

A comparison to Judas might be appropriate as well. The 3 wise men held out on King Herod, but Stupak did not.
I consider Obama to be President Death. He is a man of death: abortion, euthanasia, killing the nation’s economy and security, dividing and conquering among Catholics, and trying to kill the spirit of this nation. Our Church and our nation shall not die so quickly.

Definitions:
A one party state means one party to the telephone conversation has to have knowledge and give consent. In a two party state, all parties must have knowledge and give consent.
A NOTE ON FEDERAL LAW
It would appear that, if a telephone conversation crossed state lines, federal law would have jurisdiction…even MORE stringent rules apply.
Neither Gingrich NOR anyone else who were PARTIES to the telephone conversation were knowledgeable that it was being recorded, so go suck wind.

I heard Stupak say on Gretta his ideal scenario is that they have enough votes for him to hold his principle and still have the bill pass. Opposition was too strong, and they simply had to have his votes. I am glad his fakeness was exposed. Sad that he could have been a real american hero but he’s just not that kind of quality human being.

Bart Stupak is an Eagle Scout.
He violated the solemn charge he agreed to uphold.
